on a larger scale i’m not sure why the player’s union doesn’t take this issue to the NLRB or file wage claims at the state level..these fines are oppressive..if any other private employer did this it would draw scrutiny

He is obviously being fined so much based on his bad reputation,he shouldnt be fined for doing anything bad during the lockout where he wasnt under any contract with the NFL,isnt that why they were locked out,it was a labor dispute and the players were looking for a new contract because the old one expired.I have never heard of a player getting fined for a horse collar tackle,its a fifteen yard penalty and play goes on.unjust fines are not ok even if the player is an ass.

Roger Goodell’s policies are going to force premier athletes to other sports. Why the hell would you want to be an NFL Player when you will probably be crippled, and during your 4 year NFL career, Roger Goodell will fine you any time you accidentally hit someone hard or go to the strip club. Oh, and not to mention that the NFL is the only sport without guaranteed contracts.

How does his life off the field have any ruling on what he does on the field? In the court of public appeal he lost, but IF he’s not guilty of his fine, than you are comparing apples to oranges. I wish you would could argue that he’s guilty of his penalty without making it personal, instead of getting some idiots to agree.
