1) He’s a RB turned WR
2) Only 1 college season at WR
3) Only 2 full seasons of WR ever
4) He is in the wrong system. Little isn’t a WCO guy, he is best suited for the Vertical Passing Offense, as is Gordon, Weeden, Benjamin, & even Massaquoi.

Little will get it…. But it will likely be when Shurmur is out!

Stay focused Browns & Browns fans. We are much closer in games & the talent gap is closing. Once this team learns how to win these close games, the sky is the limit. My only hope is that Haslam keeps Heckert, who keeps the roster. I really like what I am seeing from Robertson, Sheard, Winn, Benjamin, Hughes, Fort, Gipson, Schwartz, & others."

Yes. This.

My biggest concern if they cut ties with Shurmur is whether the new HC/OC aren't able to get Weeden & the WRs up to speed with a new system quickly enough, and/or if the new guy tries switching the defense back to a 3-4 scheme. As long as any new regime shows the ability to teach the young players well, they should be fine - there's a lot of raw talent on this team.

“We had some drops,” coach Pat Shurmur said after Thursday night’s loss to the Ravens- “Not acceptable. There’s zero tolerance for that. "

^This, in the midst of a story about how Shurmur deciding to keep working with him and, in all likelihood, will keep him out there as a starter as well.

One of the dozens of reasons this guy is a total clown and has no business coaching.

Counting down the days until he's gone and has to take a job as an OC at a division III school somewhere...

I keep reading stuff about Greg Little and his bad hands, and I notice that I never see anything in those articles to suggest that he's putting in extra work. Until he does that, the problem won't go away. He needs to spend extra time after practice with the JUGS machine, LOTS of extra time, but apparently he isn't doing that, or it would be mentioned.

I simply can't understand why these incredibly talented athletes won't work at their jobs. A guy like Greg Little already makes a lot of money, but if he'd work harder and develop his skills, he could earn ten times as much. Instead he just talks about how he's going to get better, then does nothing to make it happen. I'm reminded of an NBA player, Michael Redd. After his rookie year in the NBA, he was told that he had good physical skills but that he'd never be a star, or earn big money, because his jump shot was lousy. If he'd been like Greg Little, he'd have mumbled something about how it would get better, and that would be the end of it. Instead, Michael Redd put himself on an intense program to improve his jump shot. He shot a thousand jumpers a day, every day. He ended up as an NBA all-star, one of the league's top scorers, and made an incredible amount of money. That's the way it's done, guys. Hard work. Work to develop your skills. Are you listening, Greg Little? Apparently not.

This is why I have no faith in this coaching staff right now. Call up Cooper from the practice squad and bench Little a game. Shoot, Plaxico is sitting on his couch. At least give him a look! Do something to try and salvage this season!!! Yes, this team is very, very young but if Little doesn't have those drops the last couple weeks we might actually have a couple wins! I know Weeden hasn't been perfect, but reading a defense is much harder then catching a dang ball! Pretty simple, hits you in the hands......catch it!!!!

"You go to war with the army you've got."

It's not Shurmur's fault that he has no better alternatives at wide receiver to try out.

He may WANT to treat drops with 0 tolerance, but until he has a roster that allows him to do that, he's stuck trying to teach Little how to catch.

Little was getting separation and was in position to make those catches - that's the good news. However, he'll never be a good receiver until he consistently completes the most important part of being a receiver - catching the ball.

This guy has got to be the worse starting "receiver" in football. Watching that Ravens-Browns game made me sick and I had no stock in either team. This guy was dropping more balls that a porn star. and the sad thing is most of those balls a high school player would have caught. Feel a little bad for Cleveland, a great D wasted by an offense which outside of Richardson has no playmakers.

They should bench Little to let him now how bad hes been and that he needs to work to get better and not worry about celebrating after every catch he makes. Its not like they're going to playoffs this year anyway. Give Gordon and Benjamin more playing time to learn and develop, cut Norwood, sign Josh Cooper from the practice squad, and hope Little gets the message.

Cleveland should be patient, living in Atlanta for the past 13 yrs I was able to see it pay off with Roddy White. For about 2 1/2 seasons he was considered a 1st rd bust bc he couldn't hang on to anything. Then All of a sudden he has that first big yr and then there was no looking back. Little has the talent and if Cleveland is patient it will pay off.

Little will take time to develop. Maybe he's better suited as a #2 WR behind someone like Gordon. Either way, he's only in his second season. Give him some time and good coaching.

The Vikings had a guy like that a few years back; can't recall his name. Troy Williamson? Anyway, he had all the physical tools, tall, fast as the wind. Problem was, he just couldn't hang on to the ball. They tried eye exercises, contacts, everything. Nothing worked. Congenital butter fingers.
