That doesn’t pale in comparison to the real refs 344,000 times 7 is 2.4 million and the real refs got 2.5 for the 7 weeks they missed

Remember that these officials did NOT go on strike but they were locked out by the NFL. Management created this mess by locking these guys out and they should have to pay them for what they lost. Hats off to you officials for seeing this through.

I am so tired of listening to the people who complained about the replacement ref’s and then come back with “the regular ones aren’t any good either”. Do you really think there are better ones some where else? Do you think there is an unlimited supply of awesome ref’s just waiting for a chance to get to the big league? Maybe you and your buddies can do a better job? Probably not. Get over it and get used to it. These are the NFL officials we have. Now lets play some football.

I will miss the replacement refs.

They were exciting because they brought an element of uncertainty to the game. You never knew what was going to happen.

The real refs were not on strike, they were lock out by the league, they would have gone on strike only if they needed to, that didn’t happen because they knew that the league would at some point reach a settlement with them. Bill p.s. A lock out is what the company can do to get you off the property, a strike is what the union can do by with holding there work, both are legal issues that both sides can use.

NFL players don’t have to pay back most or all of their NFL fine for sitting out of training camp when they hold out. Because they negotiate that into the contract when they return.

And to the guy who says you don’t get paid when you get fired. You do when you are salaried. Unless you are getting fired for something completely egregious like stealing … you get a severance package.

Plus, these guys weren’t fired no matter how badly we wanted them fired.
