APThe lineup for Friday’s Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network featured interviews with Jets coach Rex Ryan and Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt.
If you missed it (and shame on you if you did), there’s still hope. Through the magic of Al Gore’s handiwork, you can watch it (and pretty much anything else ever recorded by a camera) right now.
If you click the button, you’ll see Rex’s surprise at learning for the first time of Antonio Cromartie’s boast that he’s the best cornerback in the NFL, now that Darrelle Revis is done for the year. Ryan also talks about whether Cromartie will defend receivers without safety help, whether the Revis injury complicates the desire to make him a Jet for life, whether he can summarize Tim Tebow’s performance so far in one word, and other stuff.

Can you imagine how insufferable Rexy would be if he ever won anything? Over under on his shelf life: 2 years.
Wow I just watched that video and I was shocked at how quiet Rex was. He sounded almost depressed. Or maybe he is simply tired. But he did no sound like the normal energetic and positive Rex. I know coaching takes a toll and the whole Revis injury is depressing. But he did not sound at all like the normal Rex.
There is no team in the league that I enjoy watching lose more than the Jets. That being said, Rex is my favorite coach when a camera is on him. I actually liked him a little better when the bravado was toned up. He’s quite funny and likeable. Still think he has to cut a malcontent to gain full control of the locker room, though.
Let Johnathan Grimes play Rex!!!
