APThe Eagles have announced that cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was taken to Wills Eye Hospital for examination.
They’re calling his return doubtful, though he has returned to the sidelines in uniform.
Asomugha was poked in the eye by Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden, and has been replaced by Brandon Hughes.
UPDATE 10:42 p.m. ET: The Eagles, who first announced Asomugha had been taken to the hospital, have since taken it back. He apparently didn’t.

Wow, that’s gonna be a long wait at the hospital to get his eye checked. He’s gonna have to stand behind the replacement refs and the refs from today’s Packer game.
really? he didn’t go to the hospital and he’s going back in the game next defensive series
Funny that he got his eye poked cos the Eagles aren’t even in the AF SEE
next defensive series??? I’m guessing you’re not watching the game because he missed the next 3-4 defensive series of the first half and the first defensive series of the second half. That amounts to about 45 mins real-time that he wasn’t in the game.
Why does he look so average in that defense? I feel bad for him. Looks like he lost 3 or 4 steps or something. He was awesomewah in Oakland.
why is he wearing a uniform for god sakes this is football, not school!
Oss-oh-moogah?
Turned out there was an eye surgeon attending the game who was able to examine Asomugha on-site.
