Falcons, Panthers in old school shootout

The Panthers still can’t stop the run, but the Falcons aren’t stopping theirs either.

The same Michael Turner that looked like an old man the first three weeks looks young again, with 123 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown (coming on a 60-yard pass). The Falcons are hanging onto a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers have been willing to trick it up a bit (with little used wide receiver Armanti Edwards catching his first career pass and then throwing one), but they’re still running more than passing, which remains their formula.

Carolina just got hosed on a PI call with 20 seconds left. I thought we had the “good” refs back? They just cost us the game…

The Panthers should have run a QB sneak on 4th and 1 with less than 2 minutes to go and then run the clock out.

Cam Cheating is as classless a player as I’ve seen outside of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He fumbles and cost his team the game. Pretty soon this loser will join Sanchez of the Jets as a natural born loser.
