Seriously folks. After one week, there should be a moratorium after one week with complaining about calls. After one week, it should be over. I can’t speak for everyone but this Packer fan promises that if the Pack doesn’t make the playoffs this year, you won’t hear a peep from me, despite what happened last week.

Mistakes happen and in real time I get it, calls will be blown, but when you go under the booth and look at the replay and still mess up an obvious call thats inexcusable. Obviously the Fail Mary last week that robbed us of a win was inexcusable and the Graham called catch on 3rd down that MM challenged was inexcusable and lead to 3 points.

And BTW, yes MM totally botched his first challenge yesterday but even if he saved that one and challenged the Sproles fumble the play was blown dead on the field so we wouldn’t have been able to challenge that we had the ball, so that’s not on MM, that’s all on the refs.

The regular refs worked at a pace were the Pack and Saints could use the up tempo style they use and get into a rythem, that never seemed to happen the previious weeks.

Stop comparing the horrible call that came on the last play of the game (not the second quarter like yours) and that happened six days ago (not two years ago, again, like yours). I promise that two years from now Packers fans won’t be complaining about the Seahawks game. Cue the idiots who are trying to compare the replacement refs with the regular officials. First of all, no one said the regular refs were perfect. They are just better. Much better! Which brings me to my second point. The Packer-Saints game was an exception this weekend, not the rule in terms of solid officiating. In weeks past, the Packers-Saints would have been the norm for what we saw around the league.

For the officials to come back on days notice without any practice or preseason, and officiate this well collectively is quite impressive! It was a welcomed change watching the majority of these games and where the players decided the game. The command and flow of the game was refreshing.

I know Vikes fans always whine about the Quarless TD that was clearly dropped. Well the Packers got hosed in ATL that year on the same thing, Tony Gonzales dropped a 4th down pass, but there was no replay of the drop until a minute later. Plus the ref that hosed the Vikes in that 2010 game, hosed the Packers in the playoffs in 2009.

In a loss to the Dolphins, Guns Hochuli threw a flag for lining up over center on a key punt. The flag wasn’t thrown when it happened, it was thrown *after* a 2 minute commercial break. When the replay was shown, the player was not lined up in a position where a foul should have been called.

Plus the refs did the Packers no favors in losses to the Bears and Skins that year.

Which is exactly what happened last year when the Vikings were terrible and the Packers were flying high. Our fan bases love to crap on each other, equally. Get over it.

I just came looking for you, knowing you would be hypocritical in your posts. Case in point: You went after another poster for not knowing the past then you limit it to recently when you’re called out for saying the Vikings in first place is a rarity. Nice!

And jealous? Hardly! In their history the Vikings have never been down for more than a few years. And even when they are down, they are tremendous in their failures. The Packers on the otherhand spent 27 straight years of being totally irrelevant. A stretch of over a quarter century. Yikes!!

I most certainly give them props for their success, but that doesn’t diminish the hypocritical, self important attitude that permiates the Green Bay fans, and latley it’s players. Who wants to be a part of that? It’s only a game after all that ultimatley doesn’t affect our lives all that much. But character tells you all you need to know about the person, or lack there of in this case.

@Juddstir, I’m not sure if you were watching, but they played the Saints. The Saints have what we call a good “offense.”

If/When the Saints play your team, your team’s defense won’t look so great, either.

Watching football more than this year will help you figure some things out. Just keep watching, and you’ll start to pick things up.

I agree, tburst. Fans should passionately (fanatically) support their teams and ripping bad calls goes with that territory. However, the Packers supporters are famous, on here and elsewhere, for historically telling other fans complaining about calls to get over it and play better. So, you all are just getting a bit of your own medicine. And, while fans are supposed to be outraged about stuff like this, I’ve never seen a group of players and coaches act sooooo unprofessionally as the pack last week. Tough call, yes. Replacement refs, yes. It doesn’t give them the right to put forth that disgraceful display. Especially in a game with such a mediocre performance. Please, someone, give me one other example of a team acting so childishly about officiating. Anyone? Say what you will about Brett Favre, but unlike A ROD he would have been a man and owned responsibility for the Seahawks loss. I can hear his hick drawl…”Gotta make more plays, can’t let it come down to that”. If I were a packer fan, I’d be embarrassed to see my team and coach act that way.

You may not consider the Vikes your biggest rivals, but the 1000′s of packers fans who have moved here to the Twin Cities for our wonderful, rich way of life certainly do. Also, the lions probably aren’t much better than the Saints….but, they have a head coach and they were at home, so I still say Vikes win today is a better win. To say nothing of the pack desperately needing a win, while the vikes were walking into a definate let-down trap game.

And the Vikings are a whole 2 years removed from the division title and NFCC Game, and the truth is, our team is better than yours. Why would we be jealous of a 2-2 record w/o a tiebreaker against the niners?

They aren’t complaining about the calls, they are simply pointing out that Green Bay has had more than it’s fair share of calls go in their favor. As bad calls go, the one Monday night is a long ways down the list.

And “screwed like the Packers were”? Really? You simply have no idea. Just go back and watch the 2010 NFC Championship game. Again, not complaining, just using it as a point of reference. Trust me, while the Vikings have created much of their own tormented history, getting screwed by the refs is also a running theme.

But hey, you need to get the game to a point where a bad call doesn’t matter, right?
