Texans win convincingly for fourth straight week

Eventually, someone is going to give the Texans a tough game. But through Week Four of this NFL season, it hasn’t happened yet.

The Texans put a one-sided 38-14 beating on the Titans today in Houston, running their record to 4-0 and making an emphatic statement that they’re the best team in football.

Everyone knows the Texans have a good offense, and the usual suspects of quarterback Matt Schaub, running back Arian Foster, receiver Andre Johnson and tight end Owen Daniels all had solid games against the Titans. But the Texans’ defense hasn’t received enough credit. Young defensive lineman J.J. Watt is a stud, and he recorded two sacks, giving him a league-leading 7.5 on the season. And big defensive plays came when Texans defensive back Danieal Manning scored on a 55-yard interception return, and when Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson scored on a 63-yard interception return.

The Titans had some bright spots, including running back Chris Johnson delivering his first big game of the season. But this was an easy win for the Texans, their fourth convincing win of the season. The best team in the NFL resides in Houston.

“But this was an easy win for the Texans, their fourth win of the season by at least two touchdowns. The best team in the NFL resides in Houston.”

As much as my Texans love that statement. It just isn’t true. We only won by 6 points last week.

The Texans only have 3 wins by at least two touchdowns.

They beat Denver by only six.

Texans are the only team in the afc that looks impressive. The rest of the afc is a jump ball!

They’re opponents combined record is 3-9. I am not ready to jump on the bandwagon yet.

They’re opponents record isnt good but look who they played. Broncos lost to the Falcons and Texans. Titans lost to the Patrios, Chargers (3-1) and now Texans. Dolphins lost to the Jets and Texans. Jaguars lost to the Vikings (3-1) and Texans.

8 of those 9 losses are to teams with winning records. The ninth team (Jets) are 2-2. Its possible they all end of being horrible but its no guarantee.

Best part of the record is that they’re beating teams they should beat and doing it easily.

Texans have had a 20 point lead in every game

4-0 due to weak competition. This is a franchise that has accomplished absolutely ZILCH in 10+ years, 6+ of those with the same mgmt in place. Give Kubiak enough time, he’ll find a way to mess this up.

Love seeing people deliver absolute hate to the Texans. Just because their beloved patriots and ravens aren’t in the conversation of best team in the NFL they throw a hissy fit. There’s a new team in the AFC, and they’re here to stay. Get used to it.
