Michael Vick may be healthy but he’s not OK. Dude is still a terrible QB and an even worse human being. Good luck winning in the post season with Ron Mexico.

Whatever. And the Saints are a few more gifted calls from being undefeated. The point is it comes down to wins and losses. And remember, these aren’t paper tiger opponents. The Giants, Cards and Ravens are all very good teams. Only the Browns weren’t considered a “real” opponent, and their defense is much better than people think.

No one in Philly is thinking SB yet. But the Eagles played better than “decent” last night.

As an Eagles fan, I really don’t know what to expect.

First off, as a whole the Giants are not that great. The Giants are only as good as Eli is, as was shown last year when they went 9-7 in the regular season with a -2 point differential. In the playoffs, they played a young ATL team at home, a GB team that had its OC lose his son a few days before the game, a SF team they matched up well against (while the Saints would have probably crushed them), and a Gronk-less NE team.

With a solid game day coaching staff, and a great QB, any team can get hot and win the SB. Hell the year GB won they had to win 7 or 8 in a row to do it.

Although Vick is good, and fun to watch, he hasn’t been elite. Two home wins vs the Ravens and Giants are nice, but neither was at all convincing.

@shlort – So what if they Eagles win games close? A win is a win!!!! Any fan would take a close win over a loss. Normally when a team wins a game close it is because their defense kept them in the game, and afterall defense wins come playoffs. So the close game arguement is garbage. The Patriots won 3 superbowls by a fieldgoal, but they STILL WON 3 SUPERBOWLS! If anything one needs to see the fact that the Eagles have not played a game yet where they played to their potential, yet they are still winning which is scary for everyone else in the NFL if this team ever gets it going on all cylinders.

If the Eagles have proved one thing this year so far, its that if they can keep the game close, they have a chance to win it. Last year it was the opposite….If the opponent could keep the game close, “they” had a good chance to win it.

I think last night was a big step in the right direction for Philly. Aside from their red zone efficiency being a problem, the defense was strong, running game was solid, and the offensive line held it together against a tough pass rush. I think Philly has a lot to build on after this game. If they can keep Vick on his feet, they’re certainly a contender. Especially considering that a lot of the teams currently off to a good start have a lot of question marks of their own!

Everyone says Vick is injury prone, I don’t think that is the case. I think he just takes more of a beating then most QBs. He has been hit more then any QB this season, so that has to account for something. Personally I think alot of QBs would get hurt taking the hits that Vick does. I noticed RG3 has been taking the same kind of vicious hits.

I never thought I’d be so anxious to see King Dunlap return from injury.

Although he did make Antrel Rolle fall flat on his face when Rolle tripped over his leg just as it looked like he was going to get a big hit on Vick.
