Even when JJ supposedly gives his coach some control (Parcells), he undercuts the guy. So why would Cowher or any good coach with any self-worth go to work for Jones? Besides, I think Cowher likes his life as it is.

Tomlin? I think he’s under contract for several more years, plus, again, he’s a good coach with some self-worth.

I am a Packer fan, not overly excited about the way they played, but it was a must win for GB after the Seattle game played out the way it did.

I just believe the Bears will be and up and down team. I am interested to see how the Bears play against teams that weren’t in slotted to draft in the top 5.

Jerry had to swallow his ego and hire a real coach (Parcells) in order to get public financing for his palace. Parcells upgraded the talent and gave us hope, but he got fed up with Jerry (hello T.O.) and quit. Nobody was happier than Jerry when the Big Tuna quit. Jerry thought all he needed was a quarterback and HE could build a team around him. WRONG. It’s been a steady decline since Parcells left.

You build a team from the inside out. Jerry doesn’t get that. They’re weak at the line of scrimmage because Jerry is fixated on wide receivers. He makes boneheaded draft picks (Dez Bryant, Felix Jones etc etc), horrible trades (Roy Williams).

My only goal in life is to outlive Jerry Jones.

Why anyone thinks this team is a contender is beyond me.

Your comments are probably going to receive a lot of thumbsdown because you are being too honest and straightforward for some fan bases to deal with. I personally thought you were dead on with your assessments about Romo and Vick.

However, I would urge you to consider a couple of things. They beat the Ravens and Giants. Two of the top teams in the NFL. Being a Giant’s fan I can honestly say it is frustrating to see so much of your team being hit with injuries. But the Eagles are dealing with injuries to their offensive line as well. Whether you like the Eagles or not, they are what they are, and that is 3-1 and leading the division.

jay cutler is a good QB .. like any QB, give him someone to throw to and some decent protection and he will deliver. throw in a fantastic D and he will take the team far.

And yes, why do Eagles fans always want to make everything about Philly and Vick. It’s not like the team and Vick are always negatively talked about around the league. Philly fans, get over it. Gosh, how soon do you guys always forget that there are still tons of football to play. Wow, and as pointed above, you are not dominating teams. You won all three games by a few points. You guys know that you can’t bring that weak game at the end of the season and in the playoffs. You’ll come across a team, like Chicago last night, and guess what, Vick won’t be so lucky.
