They need to get rid of Garrett, they need bill cowher or someone like Tomlin

Even when JJ supposedly gives his coach some control (Parcells), he undercuts the guy. So why would Cowher or any good coach with any self-worth go to work for Jones? Besides, I think Cowher likes his life as it is.

Tomlin? I think he's under contract for several more years, plus, again, he's a good coach with some self-worth.

All Mr. Facelift is going to get as his coach is another yes-man, because he can't handle anyone else getting any credit and because no coach worth his salt would want to work for him.

I am a Packer fan, not overly excited about the way they played, but it was a must win for GB after the Seattle game played out the way it did.

The cowboys began declining when Jerry fired Jimmy Johnson.

Jerry had to swallow his ego and hire a real coach (Parcells) in order to get public financing for his palace. Parcells upgraded the talent and gave us hope, but he got fed up with Jerry (hello T.O.) and quit. Nobody was happier than Jerry when the Big Tuna quit. Jerry thought all he needed was a quarterback and HE could build a team around him. WRONG. It's been a steady decline since Parcells left.

You build a team from the inside out. Jerry doesn't get that. They're weak at the line of scrimmage because Jerry is fixated on wide receivers. He makes boneheaded draft picks (Dez Bryant, Felix Jones etc etc), horrible trades (Roy Williams).

My only goal in life is to outlive Jerry Jones.

NO, they're not. This is what they are. Even the local Dallas media, who should know better, bought into Jerry Jones B.S.

The offense is Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Demcarco Murray and a big bag of nothing. A pititful offensive line patched together from spares who couldn't start for other teams and mediocre, overpaid receivers.

The defensive line is horrible, especially without Jay Ratliff. They get know pressure up front. They have one guy who can rush the passer (Ware). The corners will be ok, but they have

"Not sure if the writer is just hyping or has limited knowledge. “Marshall had by far his best game with the Bears, catching seven of the eight passes thrown to him, for 138 yards and a touchdown.” Yea that crushes his week 1 performance of 9 catches for 120 yards and a TD. So writer which is it you hyping or just didn’t know?"

Clearly not knowing... he was too busy preparing another article bashing the replacement refs (but no mention of the bad calls that we ALL witnessed this weekend.)

I love it when Dallas loses. And it still amazes me that idiot, overmatched coach they have relies so heavily on Romo to carry the team when he’s a turnover waiting to happen. You watch, even when they’re in a close games that idiot coach will throw instead of run when inside the 10.
----------------------------------
Running the ball has no sizzle. There's nothing sexy and SportsCenter-worthy about it. All it does it take a lot of time off the clock. Yes, it wins games, but where's the glamor in it?

Dallas' meathead owner became convinced that it was all about him, ran JJ out of town, started his procession of yes-men coaches (including an emasculated Parcells), and went for sizzle instead of the ground-pounding that won three SBs in the 1990s. He wants wins, but he wants attention and ESPN time more.

As JJ's puppet, Garrett has no control over the matter. Even if he were so inclined, he wouldn't be able to go the ground-pounding route, and we've seen no inclination or imagination from him.

Blu4l1fe, here are two comoletely incorrect, asinine quotes from your statement: “It’s not like the team and Vick are always negatively talked about around the league.” and “But when they lose out again, as history shows, can we relax with the Philly and Vick talk?”

First off, you clearly havent been here long and clearly dont watch Espn or any other sports network because all season long, from week 1, EVERYONE has been hating on Vick and the Eagles. Every story about them says Vick is overated, hes not even a QB(which is ridiculous, hes not Tebow, hes a former pro-bowl QB), he doesnt move in the pocket, he holds the ball too long, etc.

Second, what NFL have you been watchimg for the last decade? The Eagles hae the best record in the division in December! Its the Cowboys who always choke late and cant win at the end of the year.

-----------------------------------------

Whoa, "asinine," obviously hit a nerve there. Cowboys, Eagles, you do have to realize I don't care who you name.

Not even that, "from week 1, every one's been hating on Vick," yeah sure, picking the so-called "Dream Team" to win it all (again, this year) is clearly hating on them.

Dude, props to you and your team for an AMAZINGLY great Decembers. As a matter of fact, let me give you all the games you want to win in December. Why don't you get back at me when you win games in January, HOW BOUT THAT?!?!

Asinine... lol.... that made me laugh. Thanks!!!

The Cutler hate is ridiculous. He was pissed because the plays were coming in late from the sideline. That's the OCs fault and Tice is a new OC. They worked it out.

Cutlers QB rating was 140

Ryan was stupid not to bring more pressure. If Cutler has a clean pocket he will eat up defenses.

Da Bears!

Blu4l1fe, here are two comoletely incorrect, asinine quotes from your statement: "It’s not like the team and Vick are always negatively talked about around the league." and "But when they lose out again, as history shows, can we relax with the Philly and Vick talk?"

I undestand being excited after a solid win for your favorite team, but tap the brakes a little bit.

Romo nearly promised the Bears of a win with 5 Ints. The bears haven’t beaten anyone that had a winning record, and all though they only played 4 games, come on.

I wouldn’t be flexing my muscles after beating the two worst teams from last season and Dallas.

Let me guess you guys want to get crowned if your able to win against Jacksonville this weekend?

Rockethered1286,

Your comments are probably going to receive a lot of thumbsdown because you are being too honest and straightforward for some fan bases to deal with. I personally thought you were dead on with your assessments about Romo and Vick.

However, I would urge you to consider a couple of things. They beat the Ravens and Giants. Two of the top teams in the NFL. Being a Giant's fan I can honestly say it is frustrating to see so much of your team being hit with injuries. But the Eagles are dealing with injuries to their offensive line as well. Whether you like the Eagles or not, they are what they are, and that is 3-1 and leading the division.

rockthered1286, I totally agree with your two points above. I'm just really wondering when Jerry will finally drop the hammer and 86 this whole Romo experiment. It is and has been clearly obvious, to Cowboys and non-Dallas fans, that Romo is not the answer for the team.

And yes, why do Eagles fans always want to make everything about Philly and Vick. It's not like the team and Vick are always negatively talked about around the league. Philly fans, get over it. Gosh, how soon do you guys always forget that there are still tons of football to play. Wow, and as pointed above, you are not dominating teams. You won all three games by a few points. You guys know that you can't bring that weak game at the end of the season and in the playoffs. You'll come across a team, like Chicago last night, and guess what, Vick won't be so lucky.

Tell you what, let's revisit this conversation in January and, if the Eagles are actually contenders, then I'll be the first one to offer my congratulations. But when they lose out again, as history shows, can we relax with the Philly and Vick talk?

Romo did make a couple of bad throws. Two of interceptions were due to errors by the receivers. But what it really comes down to is the offensive line. They finally did a good job of protecting Romo but they still can't make a hole for the running game. Without a running game Dallas was forced to throw the ball. If you throw it enough the odds are going to catch up with you and mistakes will happen. Dallas did try Felix Jones but it was too little too late. Jones is smaller and can squeeze through where Murray can't. Jones did more on one run than Murray did most of the night. Murray wastes any speed he has by hesitating and shuffling sideways looking for openings. The choice is clear. Either get an offensive line that can make bigger holes or use your smaller running back.

2 points worth mentioning:
1- Romo is the most inconsistent QB in the NFL. You get flashes every 3rd or 4th game that get fans pumped but inevitably, he follows it up with a God awful performance. And every year fans are told "THIS is his year!" and he tanks again. Time to give up on Romo and consider trading up for a high pick rookie (although the way their season is going it may not take much trading up).

2- Why do Eagles fans always have to make everything about them and Vick?! Let's be honest here Eagles fans- you're 3-1, yes, but it's not as if you're blowing teams away. You beat a Giants team without their top probowl WR, a Ravens team by a BS offensive PI call in the endzone thanks to replacement refs, and another squeaker by 2 pts. Combine wins by 4 pts. Loss to the Cards was a BLOWOUT. So it's not as if you're team is dominating. If anything we should be comparing Vick to Romo and their ability to turnover the ball. And Yes, Romo is poor passing and route running, Vick IS lack of ball protection. He has absolutely no pocket awareness.
