APBefore winning Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, Redskins kicker Billy Cundiff tried to blow it, missing not one, not two, but three field goals.
A day after after Cundiff snatched victory from the jaws of defeat that had been snatched from the jaws of victory, coach Mike Shanahan gave Cundiff an endorsement, of sorts.
“We’re not going to work out any kickers this week,” Shanahan said.
This week.
They could do it next week. Or the week after. Whether they do it at all depends on whether Cundiff can make more kicks.

I’ll never forget that AFC Championship game last year! Wow! Heartwrenching to watch him miss that kick!!!
It’s starting to look like some things never change…
He was an All Pro two years ago?? Right?? I had Zippy confidence on that last one….
We all know how this is going to end
With Rg3 at the helm this is moot. His greatness renders a kicker inconsequential. The redskins will dominate from hence forth. The division has flipped!!!!! You’ve been warned!!!!!
Another raven castoff another bust

Huh? He needed a kicker yesterday!

hahaha that hillarious!!!!!
Now you know why the Ravens dumped him in camp. The bad taste he left in our mouths has been transferred to Skins fans. Good luck with that.
Hey Billy you need to grow up… Perhaps you should start with your first name…
This guy is a career 75% kicker, and has more youtube videos with him missing 30 yard field goals than you can count. And he missed a 31-yarder yesterday. Thanks Harbs and Ozzie for kicking this loser to the curb. Like about 8 other teams have done.
As for the Redskins, you dodged a Cundiff yesterday, but he’ll get you too.
Yes but how much will Mike Smith get fined for manhandling the ref?
Funny thing is… we cut Gano because he hit the easy ones, but nothing from 45+… we got cundiff for the opposite.. who knew RGIII would have us THIS close to the endzone, needing FGs…. everyone. Everyone except skins brass
We supported this guy out of loyalty to our team in Baltimore, but the best move we could made was to have him play for an opponent. I’m just sorry he didn’t go to a divisional opponent.
He was an All-Pro a couple of years ago but that year appears to have been the exception, not the rule. This is the kind of kicker Billy has been for most of his career.
Dan Snyder: I won’t be interviewing any head coach candidates this week.
He made the Pro Bowl based on his touchbacks (I believe he tied the record that year) – not his accuracy. Once the kickoff spot was moved up 5 yards his “talent” became less special since now most kickoffs are now touchbacks – not to mention his kick0ff distance seems to have decreased over the past couple of years.
good luck billy. not all ravens fans wish you bad luck…hope it works out for you in d.c.
Ryan longwells available
I wouldn’t even have let him come back on the team plane. He would have been cut right after the game. Even the game winner was barely good. Cut him now before he costs you a game later.
let horse teeth rg3 kick field goals, since hes all world pro (sarcasm)
