So a coach lying to media about their players.....doesn't this happen everyday? No news here.

Well said allidoiswin55. I don't know if it's Bevell or what, but the plays are horrible. I don't understand no quick outs or slants...just to get things going. Dink & Dunk, then you can take your occasional shots down field.

Also I don't know why Seattle's def can't stop people on 3rd and long. They gave up I think 5 3rd and longs. The game against St. Louis if they just stopped a few of those.

Rams have 8 picks through 4 games. They made Stafford look bad, contained RG3, held Cutler in check and now Wilson.

I despise the hags, but Wilson has played good enough 25% into the season. Give him some time ffs.

Loving the NFC West these days

To my eyes it really seems like the play-calling has been down right awful. The Seahawks are THE MOST predictable offense in the league...

To the person questioning the defense... Hmm ur right the Hawks are not on the level of the Ravens.. WAYY better in almost every statistical category and younger! Get real homie. Ray Lewis is my Favorite player of all time.. its hurts me but hes old.. The Ravens are good top 10 but no shutdown defense...

The seahawks have a lot of offensive wholes, their O-line has been banged up and constantly adjusting they have poor communication. The WR's are not beating man coverage so teams are able to load up the box. Beast Mode is getting soo many yards but its not because he has gaping wholes or running lanes.. He's dragging defenders on a regular basis...
The hawks offense is baddddd... But its not Wilsons fault, they dont even call plays downfield.. All checkdowns, easy reads, theres just not many opportunities.

Literally you as a fan can watch a game and guess each play. Until they let the Kid win and loose games he wont learn. And all this playing time will have been wasted because he'll still needs to make mistakes... The 3 INT's werent all his fault he had 1 ball he shouldve thrown earlier. Poor 3rd down conversions are killing this team but with a rookie QB they should struggle...

The hawks have a playoff defense... Not sure anyone is going to blow them out! But the team cant rely solely on a defense to produce points and give up few and expect to win a lot of games with little offense and 4th quarter drives... Especially with a first year starter either Wilson or Flynn!

******BTW the team and Local Media/Fans LOVE PETE... He has NO CHANCE of loosing his Job! The team has THE MOST talented, athletic, player upside, and youth with experience in ALL THE NFL.. They lack a few pieces and experience at QB.. But he is responsible for building that depth of players! People hate his Excitement, Passion,Swagger, Enthusiasm, and his Competitive nature.. All reasons why hes been soo successful and why players Love playing for him!

Carroll's handling of the QB position, starting with forcing Hasselbeck out, has been atrocious. He does a lot of things right, but not this.

He is driven by going against the grain in every decision he makes, and that attitude is no more evident than his QB roulette.

Went to the STL vs KC preseason game back in Aug-had free tix-why not? At any rate I came away from that game with impression that the Rams were much improved and would surprise a lot of ppl this year. Their 1's vs KC 1's were noticeably superior.

Going off record alone, AZ is currently the best team in the NFC West with STL and SF tied and SEA bringing up the rear. Taking all things into account however, I think it's currently a toss up between SF and AZ for best in the west with SEA bringing up the rear.

This division is going to become a perennial dog fight for the foreseeable future. All 4 teams play solid to suffocating defense and it will come down to who can build an offense to match.

I was at the game in St Louis and zero of the picks can be attributed to Wilson. Certainly he is working on building pocket awareness, but it's a marathon and not a sprint. Have the defense get off the field a couple of times in 3rd and ten or more and you'll find out the 4th ranked defense allowed 5 conversions on ridiculous long conversions. Flynn got beat out in camp, Wilson has a much better upside with the o-line woes right now, just need the coaches to let him sling a few times and back the safetys off.

A lot of teams are winning and losing close games this year, but I have to think if the Seahawks had a QB that could throw for 230 yards a game to go with a league leading rusher who is 100+ yards money, a top 5 defense and a pretty good special teams, these two thisclose losses and the GB win would have been more comfortable and you’d have a 4-0 team winning fairly comfortably every week. Sunday was everything that could go wrong in the passing game did go wrong and Leg-a-tron

------------------------------------

doubtful. they have a good defense but far from dominant like a ravens or niners d. the offense has many holes that extend beyond QB. OL is suspect, receivers are decent but not going to demand double coverages, and as far as coaching goes, Pete's getting thoroughly outcoached by the rest of the NFC West.

seahawks are much better personnel wise than they were 2 years ago but when u gut a team it will take more than 2 offseasons to turn it into a legit contender. and honestly i don't think pete's going to be around long enough to see that happen.

For those who think this is an excuse for the Seahawks to keep Wilson in, it should be noted that Flynn's arm issues, while always vague, have been mentioned pretty consistently by Carroll since mid-way through training camp. A few weeks ago, when nobody was really calling for him, a reporter asked about Flynn's status and Carroll said the same thing then - Flynn still can't fully participate in practices.

I'm starting to think that barring this issue Flynn would have been the starter and that the Seahawks chose to start Wilson over keeping Jackson around. At the very least it means the kid gets some experience.

Why would they even be thinking about this after one bad game? The guy is a rookie, and is going to have some tough games. They accepted that when they decided to give him the job. I don’t think that there should really be any questions until Wilson stings a couple of stinkers together. Most veteran QB’s have a couple of 3 pick games per season anyway.

A bit of a messy situation.

They pay Flynn to come in and be the starter and then they go with the rookie right out of the gate--
Wouldn't it have made more sense to let Wilson sit and learn for a few weeks and see if Flynn had the ability to lead the offense?

I know Wilson looked better in camp, but what's the rush? It's not like he ran away with it.

The good news is that with that defense they'll be alright either way. I hope they get this thing figured out. They're an exciting up and coming team.
