Matt Forte ready to play

Bears quarterback Cutler hands off to Forte during their game against the San Diego Chargers in the second half of their NFL football game in Chicago Reuters

After missing just one game with an ankle injury suffered in Week Two against the Packers, Bears running back Matt Forte is ready to play against the Cowboys tonight.

The only thing that could keep Forte out at this point is a “freak accident,” according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

Although a freak accident befell two Redskins players before Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay, freak accidents in the hours before a game are rare enough that Bears fans can probably count on seeing Forte on the field tonight.

It’s possible that the Bears will take it easy on Forte and give more carries than usual to backup running back Michael Bush, but it sounds like Forte is back to full speed, just 11 days after injuring his ankle. Forte has 23 carries for 111 yards and seven catches for 89 yards in two games this season.

I hope they dont give him too much of a work load.. bush can get it done for one more game.. better for Forte to come back completely healthy than to be rushed back like matthews and spiller

Get the ground game going Tice!

It’s crazy, been a fan since the ’60′s and I promise you the same defensive scheme will be set vs. the Bears tonight … stack the box and make the Bears QB beat you.

And to think we’re supposed to be an offensive juggernaut this year!

I need Forte to score 3 TD, run for 200+ yards and catch 10 passes for 150 yards to win my fantasy.

The O/L only knows how to do the “look out” block.
Bush and Forte are both great, but hampered by crappy line play.
Overall, the O/L has been lacking on many teams

If healthy big news for a Bears offense that desperately needs him. Although if he’s not fully healthy you have to question bringing him back so soon with the NFC Central so bunched. I mean the Vikings might have a game lead if the Bears lose tonight but the Bears play them twice still and it’s not like the Bears should fear the Vikings (the Packers is another story). But hey, every game counts and you only get 16 of them so if he’s ready to go he should play!

He can play until he gets tackled, good player with injury issues. I say it is better to play with Bush.
