SPREAD OPTION! and Kap is the future, no doubt about it. The Niners are going to have to release Alex Smith in order to use that money to sign Navarro Bowman to a long term deal. I’m ok with that, I feel like Alex Smith has peaked, and I don’t think putting Colin in would lessen their chances at winning ballgames. He can do everything Alex Smith can do, and better.

You mention the San Diego game, but leave out it was mostly against backups and he had huge windows on most of his passes. All of which were on rollouts, he was terrible from the pocket. Kinda like Russel Wilson.. you know the preseason QB of the year and future MVP. How is he doing now? CK has a very bright future, but he is nowhere near taking over the starting job yet. He has made strides and maybe next season or the year after but Harbaugh values Smith’s decision making and pre snap adjustments and the team has his back. IF any players are asking for more involvement it’s because the misdirection worked, not because you are looking at another Cam.
