we did not have 2 fluke plays against the lions why is it everytime the vikings do something good they are flukes get over it we are better than last year and we do play the lions one more time and its a home game so add that to there list also we do play each team twice,
I do feel sorry for you lions fans I know what its like to have a bad season ( like you are at the moment ) people seem to forget that was last year for our team and they still tell us viking fans our team is one of the worst in the nfl and all our wins are flukes whatever get over it so its also a fluke that we are in first place with the bears unfortunaltely we are there now hopefully my team can keep up what they are doing
even if we were to win lets say 4 more games wil l still hear fluke wins or lucky
just give the vikings the credit they deserve and lions you just need to find your ryhthm and maybe you can get something going but if you dont soon its going to be a long season for you sorry to say

Wow. I don’t even know where to start to describe how ignorant you sound. You thought he should be fired after last year? He took over an 0-16 team and in three years took them to 2-14, 6-10, and then 10-6 with a playoff appearance. In 3 years. Yep, shoulda been fired.

@hyzers: The Lions are 1-3 instead of 3-1 for a reason… they weren’t good enough to win 3 games. Sure, they’ve got some good players (obvious exception being Calvin Johnson, who is a great player). But it’s not enough to have a good team on paper (the Cowboys, for example)…because the games aren’t played on paper.
Have you stopped to think why there are so many Lions haters? I’ll give you a hint…its not because we’re jealous of all the success this organization’s had through the years.
Here’s why people hate on the Lions:
#1 Schwartz is an immature dic% head
#2 Suh is a dirty player and also a dic% head
#3 do the players get frequent flier miles for lawyer fees?
#4 there is no accountability
#5 did I mention your coach and star defensive player are dic% heads?

If i were a Lions fan it would bother me that the president isn’t fazed? And the fact that he thinks thier a different 1-3 team than before! I would want the team to say that they are dissapointed with the play of our football team!! And they need to stop reading thier own press!! because no team is a gimmie! Hey Lions! no team is in awe of your talent! Or last years record!! Winning on the field is a lot harder, Then winning on papper!!

Lions 1992: One superstar, coming off one playoff year, decent skill players, totally idiotic offensive scheme (Silver Stretch anyone?), 1-5 start, 5-11 for the year.

Lions 2012: One superstar, coming off one playoff year, decent skill players, totally idiotic defensive scheme (Wide 9? SMH), 1-3, probably 1-4 after the Bears game.

Looking ahead to 2031!

I didn’t bring up the Steelers in an attempt to pick on them, just busting the chops of the ignorant troll who did by drawing attention to the fact that the team he brags about in every post has the same number of wins as the team he’s ragging on in here. Lions fans don’t need reminders of how little they’ve accomplished in past decades. But some Steeler fans need reminding that their team of this year isn’t the same as past decades. I have no hate for the team personally.

The D-line has been terrible as a whole. Avril is marginal with maybe 1 or two impact plays a game, Suh and Fairley are invisible, and VandenBosch runs around a lot but doesn’t make any big plays (probably time for him to hang them up). None of the backups have stepped up to do anything either.

Lions have problems all over the board though. Secondary sucks, O-line scares no one, no playmakers on offense besides Megatron, and don’t even get me started on special teams.

About the only positive I see right now is we’re OK against the run (until everyone starts running wham traps against us like the 49ers).

Probably a good time for a bye week. Either they fix this stuff quick or it’s going to be a long season…

The Lions are a talented young team, but what they lack are playmakers outside of Megatron when the game is on the Line…..and obviously that defense has to get better. The D-line is good, but that secondary is darn near non-existant.

By all means, let’s just ignore all the facts that we are seeing. The Lions are 6-10 in their last 16. Before last year they were horrible for about a hundred years. The Vikings are 3-1 this year to the Lions 1-3. The Vikings just beat up the Lions, and never trailed in the game. But, we all just KNOW the Lions are a good team?! Anybody think that maybe last year was just a fluke for the Lions, and this really is how talented they are?

Well before the season started all I saw on this site was Lions fans puffing their chests and telling us all how great their team was going to be. Well here we are 1/4 of the way through the season and their front office is telling us how they are ok being 1-3. Seems like the Lions are back to being the Lions and we can all forget about them again. Hope you enjoyed your 1 playoff appearance. See you again in 15 years.

Terrible special teams, DBs and subpar running game..1-3 sounds about right. They could be even worse if not for a last second drive in Week 1.

They’re just not that good. It took a hail mary to get to OT in one loss. The Vikings never once trailed against them. I’m not even sure who their third loss was. You know why? Because I don’t consider Detroit a threat, so I really don’t watch their scores.
