I wouldn't say the offensive PI called on Barden had anything to do with experience. It was actually a good move by him. If he doesn't mug the cb, Nnamdi had great position and was going to catch the ball, then it would have been game over. The pass interference hurt, but it still gave them a chance to attempt a long field goal.

Nicks does seem injury prone, sort of like Amukamara. Only difference is Nicks is a great player.

Regardless, with that weak secondary, the Giants have much bigger problems than Hakeem's knee, foot, whatever. I think they could win without him but not with second and third tier coverage guys.

For the people that keep saying "all teams have injuries". That is true, but not everyone has the same amount of injuries or the same types of injuries.

CB Terrell Thomas once again was IRed with an ACL injury. Prince Amukamara played his 2nd game removed from his high ankle sprain. Michael Coe has had hamtring problems and so has rookie Jayron Hosley. Rolle played with that knee laceration and is getting back to full strength. Phillips as everyone saw sprained his MCL on that McCoy run. Now there's Nicks still out, David Diehl as well.

That being said injuries or no injuries, Giants need to play better and be more aggressive on the defensive side of the ball. That is on Perry Fewell as he loves off coverage and his 3 man lines. Then there are no shows like Justin Tuck who has been invisible except for Subway commercials.

Eagles are on top of the division, but it is wide open. Anyone can take it, as it is the mos wide open it has been in a while. We shall have a clearer picture further along in the year.

A bigger concern for the Giants is STILL the Secondary. The loss of Kenny Phillips only exacerbates that situation. I could deal with the Nicks injury if it meant Phillips was back. Giants just have more options on offense.

That being said, no excuses. Hixon and Barden (for the most part) played well against Philly. Next man up!
