Pats lost at Balti(a legitimate SB contender) on the last play of the game. They lost to Ariz, the suprise team of the yr, because their 80% kicker shanked it on the last play. Pats may have an easy sched, but they beat the Bills and Tenn by a combined 86-41. Yes the Giants beat the Pats in 2007, because they made plays, not because the Pats choked. If those two teams played 5 times Pats would win 4, just as in 2001, if Pats played the Rams 5 times ,Rams would win 4. We’ll see who’s validated.

Again, your point is not validated, you’re going on and on about how the broncos beat an overconfident steelers and the pathetic raiders but you’re forgetting the the pats two blow out wins came against the titans and bills, not to mention that per source says they have the easiest schedule in the league. A team can go 0-16 losing all games by lest than a touchdown, doesn’t make them any better than what their record is. The pats did go 16-0 but they were no better than the 10-6 giants who stopped them from going undefeated. Stop your whining about the replacement refs, all the teams dealt with them, they’re gone now let’s move on.

Reality check. Pats toyed with denver ‘d’ to the tune of 35-7(@halftime) in last yrs playoff game. Changes? New OC(failed@Jax). Rookie DE. 2 journeymen DT(they were counting on TWarren, but he got hurt again). Two studs in VMiller and Dumerville who did nothing in that game. Middle of the pack defensive stats, skewed because they shut down the raiders last week. You’re setting yourself up for another big disappointment. Pats could easily be 4-0.

The game will come down to who executes their schemes better. There is no magical key, sure front four pressure would be nice but that doesn’t guarantee victory. Getting to Brady (or Manning) from the outside is useless they will just step up into the pocket and pick apart any secondary they play. The only meaningful pressure is pressure up the middle and in their face.

The winner will be who has the best four-man pass rush. Bank on it.
