Oh and another few questionable things on your last comment. You stated that the pats may have a easy schedule but they beat the titans and bills by a combined 86-41 points, Hello! Nobody has these two teams going to the playoffs, you said but as if they've beaten 2 top tier teams like the falcons and Texans. Another thing, you said if the pats and giants played 5 times, pats would win 4, couldn't they only win 3 with the giants already winning 2?

@tedmurph, so basically you just said the patriots will have a hard time with playoff contender teams. Theres no such thing as garbage minutes when playing against Peyton manning and it doesn't take a stupid person to know that. Apparently you forgot he overcame a 21 point deficit and won a game, if the falcons and Texans knew they've had the game locked, they would've pulled their QBs out especially the Texans after the scary hits on Schuab. The pats are still a good team but their not the same they were in recent years, I still wouldn't underestimate them against the broncos. If you're gonna take their every lost and say it should have been won then so be it, but my broncos record are who we thought they were, a team whose still figuring things out and will only get better as the season goes, I never had them going 16-0 or even 12-4, 11-5 or 10-6 will get the job done in the west.

@csviafw/broncosnative:

Nice try with the spin boys. Broncos got smoked by ATL and Houston, only made it close with 4th qtr garbage time TD's. No they couldn't have easily been 4-0. They beat up on the Raiders. Wow. Pats lost at Balti(a legitimate SB contender) on the last play of the game. They lost to Ariz, the suprise team of the yr, because their 80% kicker shanked it on the last play. Pats may have an easy sched, but they beat the Bills and Tenn by a combined 86-41. Yes the Giants beat the Pats in 2007, because they made plays, not because the Pats choked. If those two teams played 5 times Pats would win 4, just as in 2001, if Pats played the Rams 5 times ,Rams would win 4. We'll see who's validated.

@csviafw:

Overexcited? How about bronco fans when Tebow pulls a few out of his butt. Or when they beat an overconfident, injury riddled steeler team in the playoffs. Or because they blew out a pathetic raider team last wk. Not on the Pats level yet. And yes, Pats sare 2-2 not 4-0. Both losses came on missed and made FGs@the end of the games as well as bad officiating on crucial plays againt top teams in most power rankings. So yes, could easily be 4-0. Pats can only play the teams on their schedule, not their fault. Still an elite team. 5 SBs in 11 yrs. What postseason chokers. Brilliant statement

Again, your point is not validated, you're going on and on about how the broncos beat an overconfident steelers and the pathetic raiders but you're forgetting the the pats two blow out wins came against the titans and bills, not to mention that per source says they have the easiest schedule in the league. A team can go 0-16 losing all games by lest than a touchdown, doesn't make them any better than what their record is. The pats did go 16-0 but they were no better than the 10-6 giants who stopped them from going undefeated. Stop your whining about the replacement refs, all the teams dealt with them, they're gone now let's move on.

Does a win over the Raiders actually count in the standings?

Hey, raiders aren't the only team that sucks, in that case I guess all the Texans wins don't count because they beat bad teams.

Manning will play out his remaining NFL days like Joe Montana with Chiefs. He will rely on his ability to command the respect of teammates and on his experience of where to throw the football in a system that is built around him. Difference is that Montana had real Magic. Peyton's magic is that fake audible crap he does.

Peyton won't be enough. This will be his sequence for his next & last 3 years:

a) Make Playoffs at 10-6.
b) Get 1 Wild Card Win at Home.
c) National Media Hype.
d) Utter & Complete Humiliation in Road Playoff Loss.
e) National Media Apologists
f) Repeat

Reality check. Pats toyed with denver ‘d’ to the tune of 35-7(@halftime) in last yrs playoff game. Changes? New OC(failed@Jax). Rookie DE. 2 journeymen DT(they were counting on TWarren, but he got hurt again). Two studs in VMiller and Dumerville who did nothing in that game. Middle of the pack defensive stats, skewed because they shut down the raiders last week. You’re setting yourself up for another big disappointment. Pats could easily be 4-0.

The winner will be who has the best four-man pass rush. Bank on it.

----------------------------------------------------------

Reality check. Pats toyed with denver 'd' to the tune of 35-7(@halftime) in last yrs playoff game. Changes? New OC(failed@Jax). Rookie DE. 2 journeymen DT(they were counting on TWarren, but he got hurt again). Two studs in VMiller and Dumerville who did nothing in that game. Middle of the pack defensive stats, skewed because they shut down the raiders last week. You're setting yourself up for another big disappointment. Pats could easily be 4-0.

Nobody knows how the game is going to go last week every Patriot fan was scared to death of the offensive line and guess what happened? The line dominated on Sunday and was perhaps the biggest reason they won.

The game will come down to who executes their schemes better. There is no magical key, sure front four pressure would be nice but that doesn't guarantee victory. Getting to Brady (or Manning) from the outside is useless they will just step up into the pocket and pick apart any secondary they play. The only meaningful pressure is pressure up the middle and in their face.

It amazes me when people still don't get it when the Pats are blowing smoke about their next opponent, they do it every week, and this was even a lukewarm endorsement("some of it happens to be real familiar").
Manning is still pretty darned good, but the Patriots are just a better overall team. Won't be a blow-out like the two Pats wins last season; Manning will keep them competitive, but much like his earlier matches with Brady and the Pats, he's walking on the field with the inferior team around him. Against almost any other team, he's enough to make up the difference, just not when Brady's on the other sideline.

Actually it was Romeo Crennel that has constantly bewildered Peyton

Since he left, Manning has the winning record. If BB has gotten into Manning's head then why did he got for it on 4th and 2? Why was he asking Reggie Wayne at the Pro Bowl what happened on an INT in 2010 when Peyton had the Pats on their heels in the last minute?

The QB battle is a bit overhyped. This game will be decided by the defenses.

Fox and Belichick are top-level defensive minds. This will be a contest of who can disguise their moves better from two of the best field generals ever to play football. Brady and Manning are maybe better than anyone in the history of the NFL at reading defenses.
