I’d still love to hear exactly what Sean Payton’s involvment was that meritted a one year suspension. Supposedly he and Loomis lied when asked about a bounty program, but if all that was really in place was a pay for performance system, did he really lie? There may or may not have been a bounty on Favre, that is still not clear, but even if there was it would not in and of itself have constituted a bounty program. And if there were no further bounties (and there is no proof what-so-ever that there was any bounty placed on anyone after Favre), then how can Payton be punished for not complying with the directive to make sure there weren’t bounties?

This whole thing is and has been completely ridiculous.

‘it’ will be drew’s moment not sean’s and since he won’t be able to talk to him anyway what’ the big deal. this way, noboday’s talking about him and the focus will be where it should be, on drew. and let me say what a class act johnny unitas’ son is for the letter he sent to drew congratulating him on tying the record and for being so gracious. those of you with your idiotic comments should go read the letter which is posted on espn and take a lesson from him. good luck on sunday night drew. when you break the record the superdome will be rocking!!!!!

It should say ALLEGED bounty program. It still has not been shown that Sean Payton actually deserved to be suspended. No other coach in the NFL has ever been suspended for just one game, let alone a whole year. This was clearly Goodell abusing his power over a personal grudge against Sean Payton.

They should put Payton in one of those Hannibal Lecter transporting devices and sit him down on about the 15 yard line.

If and when Brees gets the Touchdown. Let Payton out to shake Brees hand and then lock him back up and remove him from the Stadium.

Payton is so right. Why pay several hundred bucks to park, deal with drunks, watch the game from the nosebleed sections, and eat a rancid hot dog with a warm beer when you can sit in your man cave with a HD home theater and feel like the King of the World?

Sean Payton has class and will not bend over and kiss Roger’s rear end like Williams did.

He will not let Goodell threaten him. He also will not throw his players under the bus and lie on them just for the smallest of chances to be able to coach again.

The Saints players, Loomis, and Payton are victims of Goodels player concussion legal strategy and Williams is no better than Goodell, both snakes
