You can’t really be making the case that the Redskins are better than any team in the top 12, can you? Your rushing game is all your QB, and you’ve lost to Cincinnati and St. Louis. You’re on the right path, but come on…it’s not there yet, bro."

Yeah, and the Packers lost to the Seahawks. Point being?" Wins are wins, "bro", and if Rodgers were sitting at a 103.2 passer rating with 1 int and 8 total td's, the Pack would be at #1. Tell me I'm wrong.

Bills at 17? Give me a break. They beat two terrible teams and got man handled by the crappy Jets. How can you rank a team that high that gave up 45 points at home, in the 2nd half!

Go Pats

If the Bills are as terrible as you say, then the Patriots must not be that far off because they only beat 2 crappy teams too, Bills and Titans. They lost to an average Cardinals team and a suspect Ravens team. The Bills lost to the Jets and Patriots, while beating the Browns and KC. Bills and Patriots have the same record 2-2, the Pats should be ranked 15th or 16th, but since its the Media favorite Patriots they get ranked way higher than they should be.

I am a Ravens fan but they are ranked too high. Ravens D is very ordinary.

Houston? May be the best thing since sliced bread but didn't they go 10-6 last year w/o Manning around?

Played Ravens tough in the play-offs (yes back-up QB blah blah) but the Ravens beat then by 15 earlier in the year with Schaub didn't they?

More Random Thoughts:
* I wonder how the Cowboys debacle on MNF will affect Romo's contract negotiations?
* The Packers offense doesn't look like it's firing on all cylinders.
* Why has Randy Moss gotten lost in the Bermuda Triangle, and how long before he has a meltdown?
* Hey, Buffalo...how's your 100 million dollar man doing?
* I knew the Saints wouldn't be the same after the bounty scandal, but never thought they'd be 0-4!!

Random thoughts:
* Are the Jets really dumb enough to draft another over-hyped USC quarterback? Wait, don't answer that!!! * I think the Dolphins may have finally found themselves a franchise QB. No, I'm not saying Tannihill is the next Marino
* When are the Browns going to use a high draft pick to try and get a true #1 wide receiver?
* What's wrong with Matthew Stafford???? We all knew the Lions' defense would struggle with their swiss cheese secondary, but what the hell is wrong with the offense??
* Andy Reid should be fired if he starts calling 500 pass plays per game again. Seriously, does he not realized that he's got a top tier runningback on his team?
* Has Kevin Kolb finally turned the corner and ready to earn that huge contract?
* Will RG3's body hold up if he keeps getting hit like this?

It's way TOO early in the season to say anyone is a shoo-in and anyone is a loser.

All you have to do is think back to last season - Giants 9-7 and SUPERBOWL CHAMPS.

So anything can happen when you least expect it--so I wouldn't count out anyone and that includes the Saints.

After 4 games last year (of which they lost two) - they won 11 straight--they can do it again--they were looking pretty good last weekend.

Never say never to anyone as it comes back to bite you in the butt!

@raiderapologist

I would base Denver being ahead of San Diego based on the fact that San Diego has beaten Oakland, Tennessee, and KC - not exactly teams screaming playoffs. Denver has also trounced Oakland, but also beat at least a respectable Pittsburgh team. Meanwhile, SD took a drubbing at home to Atlanta, while Denver lost two close games to two undefeated (and arguably the two best) teams in the league.

It doesn't matter, the two will face off twice before the season is over to find out who the better team is.

People are dumping on the Bills, but let's not forget they were in control of the game in the early part of the 3rd quarter. They fumbled the ball away on the goal line, which could've potentially led to a 28-7 lead. A couple bad 3 and out sequences led to handing the ball over to a potent offense like NE and their defense was exhausted and decimated and the wheels fell off. Even making a few extra plays or a few more first downs and the outcome would've been different.

The issue for me with Buffalo is still the same: can Fitzpatrick get it done? Still too turnover prone to me.

Please explain to me how the team who is #1 rushing and #3 in total offense, who has the same record as half of the top 10, is sitting at 20?? And don’t give me the “defense” excuse, because the Pack’s D was ranked, what, 29th last year? Don’t quote me on the 29th, but it was close to it.

==================================

You can't really be making the case that the Redskins are better than any team in the top 12, can you? Your rushing game is all your QB, and you've lost to Cincinnati and St. Louis. You're on the right path, but come on...it's not there yet, bro.

==================================

You can’t really be making the case that the Redskins are better than any team in the top 12, can you? Your rushing game is all your QB, and you’ve lost to Cincinnati and St. Louis. You’re on the right path, but come on…it’s not there yet, bro.

So you're going to bypass the 9ers Cards head to head match ups and instead look to the game against New England as your basis as to which team is better? First off, why? Second off, if you are going to make that claim, at least get your facts right. The 9ers, just like the Cards, are playing in New England. How hard is it to check a schedule before you add a dumb comment?

The Jets aren’t getting anywhere near Barkley unless they have the #1 overall pick.

2 things wrong with this-
1- Barkley, in my opinion, is not the best QB in college right now, nor is he the most pro-ready. I have him at #3 QB, and will probably fall a ways considering all of the young QB talent already in the NFL, and the remainder of the bottom teams with young QB's their not willing to replace (Miami, Cleveland, etc.). He's no Luck or RGIII, sure shot, can't miss talent. Potential? Of course. But not #1 talent.
2- The Jets are flat out bad. Their D is bad. Their O is non existent. Special teams are far from special. They've had one great game to open the season, 2 losses, and a squeaker by a bad Miami team. They will end up with a top 10 pick without a doubt.

“If we’re going to worship Eli Manning every time he pulls out a late win, we need to at least mention when he fails.”

Thank you. He failed last week the Eagles defense tricked him and got him to throw a pick to DRC that needs to be mentioned.

Oh and don’t tell anybody but Michael Vick outplayed Eli Manning in the 4th quarter. He has three fourth quarter comebacks in four games (Manning didn’t do that last year) two of which came against top ten teams in these power rankings the Ravens and Giants.
---------------------------------------------------------

3 wins by a grand total of 4 points won't hold up over a whole season. Those near losses will eventually turn into real losses. You know what else won't hold up over a whole season? Michael Vick. Oh but don't tell anybody.

Do you know how hard it must be for this site to show the Cards at #5?

After the first loss by the Cardinals, they will drop them to # 15-18, watch.

And of course, they have the Niners one slot above the Cards. That is a personal jab by the author.

4-0 > 3-1. Simple math. Can’t wait for the Niners to play the Patriots. Then we will see. And, the Niners get them at home instead of on the road.
--------------------------------------------------
I'm a Niner fan and at this point I understand putting a 4-0 team above a 3-1 team......BUT......why worry about what the Niners do to the Patriots when the 49ers and Cards play TWICE!
