It’s logistically easier for the NFL game to be the one to move. The ALCS will likely have a game the day before and/or a game the day after. There’s nowhere to move it to. The MLB playoff schedule is already packed tighter than a can of sardines.

Actually sir, you are way off. Yes, the Raiders got played there before the A’s, but only by 2 years (Raiders 1966, A’s 1968). I don’t consider 2 years to be a “long time” but you have your own opinion. Also, the Raiders left in 1981 for 14 seasons, thus making the A’s the longest tenant of the O.co Coliseum (A’s – 45 seasons; Raiders – 32 seasons).
Also, MLB’s schedule is only 162 games.

The most logical solution is the switch the Raiders-Jaguars game to Monday afternoon (4 or 5 pm kickoff). The Jags aren’t likely to fly all the way home to Jacksonville anyway, with their next game being in Green Bay on the following Sunday, and the Raiders travel to Kansas City also on the next Sunday, so they shouldn’t have a huge issue.

Yeah, its terrible location near BART where people can reach it in a 10 minute walk, and near the airport hotels so accompanying press or fans that have flown and can reach it in ten or twenty minutes. Yeah, its really terrible.

I’ll agree the renovations for Mount Davis were bad. It needs to be Raiders Stadium and the A’s need the new Stadium – and lets face it – they deserve one after getting to the playoffs twice in 6 years, where the Raiders havent in 11.
