Jets coach Rex Ryan announced the expected Wednesday, saying wide receiver Santonio Holmes would be placed on injured reserve with his Lisfranc injury, and will need surgery, according to multiple reports.
The Jets are signing wide receiver Jason Hill to take his roster spot, but the reality of the situation is beginning to dawn on them.

“It does check the resolve of your team,” Ryan said during his press conference, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
