Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has a groin injury that has now kept him from practicing the past two days.
Per multiple reports, Allen did some individual work “on the side” today. The goal is to let him rest, so that he can play on Sunday against the Titans.
Though his groin may be impaired, Allen’s sense of humor isn’t. Asked Thursday if teams are blocking him differently, Allen said, “No. They’re still using human beings.”
Whatever they’re doing, it’s working better than last year. With two sacks through four games, Allen is on pace for 14 fewer than last year, when he racked up 22.0.
