Jags owner Shahid Khan eventually wants to remove all tarps from EverBank Field. He’ll start by removing some.

Specifically, the tarps will be lifted from Section 403 for Sunday’s game against the Bears.

“We’re pleased with demand for tickets for this game and we’re thrilled to be able to make additional tickets available to our fans,” Jaguars President Mark Lamping said.

They should be thrilled, given that the home game against the Bears comes a week after a 27-10 home loss to the Bengals. Coupled with the 27-7 Week Two home loss to the Texans, the 1-3 Jags have been outscored 54-17 on their home field this season.

The tarped seats don’t factor in to the team’s minimum threshold for lifting the local blackout. Instead, any tarped tickets are gravy, with the NFL getting half of the revenue generated.

The tickets that had been tarped in section 403 are available at $35 each.
