Tim Jennings wins NFC defensive player of the month

No defense has been better at taking the ball away than Chicago’s.

And no Bear has been better at it than Tim Jennings, which is why he won NFC defensive player of the month honors Thursday.

The Bears cornerback leads the NFL with four interceptions, and his nine passes broken up are tied for the league lead.

Jennings has also broken up a pair of passes which were intercepted by teammates.

The Bears lead the league with 14 takeaways and 11 interceptions.

Check your facts – in addition to his four interceptions, Jennings has tipped THREE passes to teammates for interceptions (Conte in week 1 & Wright in weeks 3(TD) & 4).

They obviously missed one, must have been busy watching the sidelines to see Jay Cutler’s body language instead of watching important things….like the game. Nice early season Jennings is having, hope the Bears D can keep it up.

His open fielding tackling has been fantastic too.

Last I heard opposing quarterbacks had under a 5 passer rating when throwing to the receiver he’s responsible for.

Like Stanley said, QBs haven’t done squat against him. Looks like a career year for someone that doesn’t have an apparent weakness. His height (or lack there of) doesn’t count cause he can jump out of the stadium!
