Ooooohh….stop. Way back when, being called a cheesehead was supposed to be an insult. It never materialized. Ever. In fact, it became a profitable cottage industry. Even my dog has one. It doesn’t work because the joke is on people like you. You see, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, unlike you. We know jealousy breeds contempt. We’ve been there before and seen it before. We’re having fun, usually at your expense. At the same time, it tells people we don’t care what they think. That’s where we’re coming from. We know who we are and we know what we have. As a 15 year season ticket holder I have seen many opposing jerseys in the stands at Colts games over the years. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard from opposing fans comment how friendly Colts fans were to them. That just shows you can be loud and proud without being an a$$hole.

Its clearly a call to be good colts fans, support your team, come to the game, and nothing more sinister than that. Having said that, we (packer fans) will be there in great numbers. Its Indianapolis – in general – the home fans are reasonable people, unlike the deluded morons in Philly or Detroit who think that “protecting your home turf” or being physically violent toward visiting fans is in some distorted way being a good fan.

That was actually pretty funny. Bill Polian nearly busted a vein in his forehead over that.

Those were the days. Now, Titans fans are among the worst offenders when it comes to selling their own season tickets to visiting fans. And it’s the Steelers coming to town next Thursday, on national TV. That ought to be fun.

This article is way off point. Nothing Arians says implies aggressive or even rude behavior to Packer fans. Obviously what he means is don’t sell tickets to Packers fans and in general, don’t let let Packer fans out-fan Colts fans. I attended last season’s Steelers came in Indy with thousands of Steelers fans and I didn’t see or sense any belligerent behavior whatsoever. Unless and until proven otherwise, don’t assume that paying fans in Indy are going to get violent toward each other over a game millionaires play. Get real. Even the implication is offensive.

C’mon…this article is a total reach (yet another case of PFT trying to make something out of nothing). Only an idiot would draw the conclusion Arians was encouraging Colts fans to intimidate or assault Packers fans. It’s obvious he was encouraging Colts fans to show up at the game and to be more vocal…to give their team a home-field advantage. It’s not like he told the fans to put some hot sauce on the cheese heads.

I think the idea here isn’t to get Colts fans to stop Packers fans from making noise. It’s trying to get them not to put their tickets on StubHub and to actually show up to the game or else the Packers fans will outnumber the Colts fans.

as a packer fan, i do not like the actual “cheesehead” hat, i was at the Chargers/Packers game last year, a group of 5 packer fans in front of me all wearing cheeseheads and i couldnt see anything on the field. had to ask them to take em off so i could watch the game. love my fellow pack fans
