It looked like exactly what it was: a devastating hit to the left shoulder. Probably knocked the wind out of him and left his left side a little numb. Whiplashed? Maybe. Concussed? No. This was the kind of reaction you see from someone who simply didn’t see it coming. Not someone who got knocked out.

He probably doesn’t even remember it and that’s why he can’t figure out the fuss. It will be interesting to see if the league allows the Cardinals to skirt the concussion guidelines by calling it a pure shoulder injury. If so, they’ll be opening themselves up to more liability.
