The dirtiest safety in the modern NFL was ‘disappointed…’ Really? Rodney “Cheap Shot” Harrison was disappointed…

In what? That he hit him in the upper-thigh with his back instead of directly on the knee with his helmet like Harrison would love to have gotten away with…

Or perhaps that it wasn’t one of his helmet-to-victim shots, like the head-to-head he did to Rice. Or any of the other 14 personal foul and unnecessary roughness penalties he racked from 2001 till he retired…

I just wish I understood these unnecesary roughness penalties. Sometimes it look like a good play and it gets called anyway. Other times nothing is called but the the league fines the player later that week, which I guess is an admission that it should have been called.

That was the thigh Harrison. Only reason the knee was hyperextended is because his foot was planted. STUF Harrison!

Get off your High Horse Rodney. During your day you were the dirtiest safety in the league. Goldson hits hard and clean. I don’t think he meant to bend his knee back, especially seeing as they dominated the Jets the whole game.
