realfann, in theory i agree with you, but unfortunately you can’t have a thursday night game after a bye week for every team. there are more than 2 teams at a time on each bye week. there would be some type of argument if some teams had their thursday night game after a bye and others didn’t. at least now they level the playing field that every team has a thursday night game. the only good thing about a thursday night game is that the team gets a mini bye week until they play again the following sunday. so confusing, my 2 cents is just stop thursday night games altogether. but i bet it won’t happen. too much lost revenue involved.

Agree with the idea of Thurs games being after a bye. The schedule is unreal when you think of not having M & Tu to recover from the game and prepare for next week. TH is the first day of real implementation of the game plan. Make TH game day and you’ve got a burned out team. Especially a road team.

Cards would be smart to send everyone home for three days except those needing to be in the training room, then get back on that schedule that made them ready enough to play to a 4-0 start.

The Rams were on the same schedule – they both played games on Sunday, and they both showed up to play on the same night. So the Rams were out home – but Arizona was simply outplayed and out coached. Period.

The Cards would have been much better off just running the ball and punting. They might have actually surprised the Rams defense with a play action pass to Fitz occasionally. That was just an incredibly stupid, inept display of play calling and execution – too bad they had to do it on a nationally televised game.

Uhh no, that’d be incredibly stupid. The Rams front 4 completely dominated the cardinals o-line,as quinn and Long were repeatedly in the backfield.

Now you want Kolb to turn his back and take a longer drop when he was getting killed on normal ones? Seriously?

Out of 50 Drop backs, The Rams had 42 pressures..Yea, Play action woulda been dumb – especially since the running game wasn’t working either.

It’s utter nonsense that playing on a Thursday is an issue.
It’s the nature of the beast that actors, athletes and politicians are supposed to be ready to go anytime, anywhere.
Start a new league (again) and guys will play on Tuesday mornings.

Two things no team will play up to their level on Thursday night football, the greed of the owners has lessened the quality on the field.

Secondly, it’s a long season, no reason to crack the whip. After an excellent first quarter of the season they have to go back to the basics of sustaining a block and building of what they accomplished thus far.

He’s really saying Thursday night games suck. His team was tired and under prepared so they played bad.

I hate Thursday night games. Bad for football, bad for the players.

Get rid of them or have them for teams coming off a bye week.
