Packers running back Cedric Benson left Sunday’s loss to the Colts early with a foot injury, but he doesn’t believe it’s serious.

Benson was wearing a protective boot on his left foot after the game and said he will have more tests on it on Monday, but he also said X-rays did not show any broken bones, and he’s confident he doesn’t have the dreaded lisfranc injury, which could end a running back’s season.

I was able to walk on it,” Benson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Guys who have had [the lisfranc injury] usually can’t.”

With Benson out, the Packers turned to backup running back Alex Green, who had nine carries for 55 yards against the Colts.
