There was the Twin Cities Marathon. The game was initially scheduled to start at noon, but they pushed it back because there would have been issues.

As for the “push” he didn’t even know it was a ref. If you actually watch it, his head is facing the other direction, and he was being bumped by multiple Titans. He deserved the penalty, because ignorance isn’t a defense, but he doesn’t deserve to be suspended.

It’s great how the Lions and Packer fans comment on this. Your teams suck that much that you are taking it out on the Vikes?? Poor sports. Go worry about your team and what they need to do to win.

Push him so he falls over and when he gets up, push him again. If all else fails, push another ref. Make it clear that you are strong and they are weak.

I think the NFL needs to send a message and suspend him. Vikings are by far the dirtiest team in the NFL. 4 games minimum, there was no excuse for what he did.

Barely made any sense as he barely touched the ref, great hit on third down earlier, this rookie is the real deal at safety. Get back out on the field next Sunday and nobody will care. I hope he gets a pick-6 soon.

Best safety since Paul Krause. Also, #22

I’m a true Vikings fan! but the ref’s got it right!! Even though Smith didn’t throw a punch (Like the anouncers said) He should not have touched the ref’s! Not quite sure how it’s gonna playout with the NFL! Suspension wise! a fine is in order for sure! My opion, Heavy fine no suspension!! My opion = hill of beans!! Good game Vikes keep the pedal down!!

Unlike some of the fools commenting in here, I actually saw it happen and watched it a couple of times.

Smith did not “shove” an official. He shrugged off an official who was shoving him.

What happened was that after Winfield’s interception, Nate Washington jumped up and got into a couple of Vikings players faces, Smith being one of them. For no apparent reason, one official ran in and started shoving Smith. Smith back peddled for about ten yards and finally shrugged his shoulders, dislodging the grip the official had on him. Then the official, who was completely ignoring Nate Washington who was now aggressively shoving a different Viking player, made the ‘outta here’ motion with his hand.

It was seriously like that official targeted Smith. If an official (competely without cause) had shoved me for ten yards down the field during playing days, I would have done a lot more than shrug him off.

I thought the official was being overly aggressive. Smith was wrong for shoving butit is over and done with.

There is no way that he is suspended for this! He was getting shoved and backed up by the official and he put his hands up to stop and he walked off to the side and the ref. got in his way and it just looked like he shoved him.

I did it. I pushed a ref like I said I would. He said, “Who are you and what are you doing?”

If they all have attitudes like that, ref-pushing should be mandatory.

Towards the end of the Cle/Nyg game an official tried to square up with a brown named Fort. I would punch a ref if they touched me
