Getty ImagesDefensive end Osi Umenyiora rushed out of the locker room without talking to reporters following the Giants’ 41-27 win over the Browns.
He had good reason, as his son Tijani was taken to the hospital with what was thought to be an asthma attack.
Umenyiora later said “He is better. Thanks,” in an email to Mike Garafolo of USA Today.
The Giants later reported Umenyiora’s son had been released from a hospital.

Thank GOD
My stomach fell out when I read this headline. Glad he is OK now, but that had to be a nightmare for Osi.
Lesean McCoy’s son made fun about it on twitter.
Good deal.
Great news!
That’s crazy
Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets fined by the commish for leaving without talking to the media. GOODELL IS A JOKE!
Good news!

why wouldnt god just…not give him asthma in the first place
o right…
Except for when they play the Cowboys, I will always root against the Giants and Osi, but once such a player steps off the field with a family emergency I will be rooting for them, personally.
Glad it was just a scare.
The amount of immature people on this site is baffling. Why would you give a thumbs down in a case like this? Bunch of cowards.
Eagles fan here. “tweeter beef” is stupid, this is real. Glad to hear Tijani is out of the hospital and doing well.
Great to hear… looking forward to a great game next week
