Wilson looks better, Panthers offense doesn’t in 6-3 shootout

The Panthers haven’t been able to carry over any offensive momentum from last week, and are fortunate to only be trailing the Seahawks 6-3 at halftime.

After standing toe-to-toe with the undefeated Falcons a week ago, the Panthers have managed just 93 yards in the first half against the Seahawks.

Quarterback Cam Newton is an ugly 3-of-15 for 40 yards at the half, consistently missing targets high. The Seahawks physical corners are also getting in the head of wide receiver Steve Smith, who has had a few drops and got away with a blatant offensive pass interference while shoving.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been remarkably accurate, a clean 12-of-13 for 124 yards.

The Panthers are defending the run better than you might expect, but other than a late field goal drive, didn’t do anything with the ball.

The great cam newton… misses targets high in the first half and throws at wide open tight ends feet in the second half. Great job cam! can’t believe you didn’t do your stupid superman after your fumble. 1-4… woo hoo!
