Panthers cornerback Chris Gamble’s doubtful for today’s game against the Seahawks with a shoulder injury, so the Panthers added a body at his position.
They promoted cornerback Ron Parker, who was in camp with the Seahawks, from the practice squad.
They might not need him, as the Seahawks rank last in the league in passing offense, averaging a mere 130.8 yards per game through the air.
Still, the Panthers are exceedingly thin in the secondary, as former starter Captain Munnerlyn (who was displaced by fifth-round rookie Josh Norman) will move back into the starting lineup.
To make room for Parker on the roster, they placed veteran guard Mike Pollak on injured reserve. He leaves them with no meaningful offensive line depth of any experience.
