Getty ImagesBears rookie receiver Alshon Jeffery didn’t believe his hand injury was significant.
Define “significant.”
Jeff Dickerson of ESPNChicago.com reports that Jeffery suffered a fracture in his right hand in Sunday’s 41-3 win over the Jaguars.
Per the report, Jeffery won’t need surgery. But the hand is in a cast, and he likely will miss a couple of games.
Per Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago, com, the Bears may sign another receiver as soon as Tuesday.
So who will it be? Make your best guess(es) below.

Welcome to the NFL. By the time you are done most of the bones in your body will have been broken…. Heal up and get back out there “MEAT”!
This kid has great potential I can’t wait until he comes back. Until then we still have Earl Bennett and a kick returner.
BTW, any news on Knox?
Play,T.O.,Chad come to mind
That sucks. They were rolling yesterday, too.
Damn! Just when the Bears offense was clicking a little. Get well Alshon and come back stronger.
Well, at least the Cowboys still suck.
Why not make a trade for any one of Jim Harbaugh’s 5 number 1 receivers?
this has plaxico all over it
David Anderson. Maybe plax but that is a long shot
They’ll probably call Davis back.
Jeff Otah please
See if the Vikes will trade Aromashadu back to us.
wow just the start and already two wr are out.. maybe Bennett can get back in time for the next game..
Plaxico is the only big name receiver that even has a chance. But I still doubt that happens. They’ll likely sign some no-name free agent or call up from the practice squad.
No problemo. Just bring back Sam Hurd- oh, wait a minute….
Sam Hurd, duh.
There are no receivers of Jeffery’s caliber just waiting to be signed. If he’s just going to be inactive for a few weeks They’ll just have to make do with what they have. The Bears are going to have to rely on Hester putting in some quality work at WR.
Mike Sims Walker seems like a good fit. Then once Alshon is back, Walker can be our number 3 guy.
As long as I dont’ see a headline that says Brandon Marshall has broken hand, I’m fine. Tough break, but he’s got the bye week to recover, and Bennett will be back for the Lions. I can live with Marshall, Bennet, and Hester for a few weeks.
Rasheed Davis, Devin Thomas, Joe Anderson, Chris Summers or Terrian Crump. All of them were in camp and have a working knowledge of the playbook.
Ask Roy Williams to come back and thus come out of retirement
Roy Williams. Retired huh? Yeah. Nobody noticed! He can’t catch, but that doesn’t matter. It has NEVER mattered! lol
Mike Sims Walker seems like a good fit. Then once Alshon is back, Walker can be our number 3 guy.
LOL

Trade a 4th to KC for Steve Breaston. Lord knows they’re not using him and they need the pick.
It’s Been a rough year for the Rookie WR’s around the league. And he was one of the best. Hope he come back strong like Bull.

We don’t need another Devin Hester or the contract.
Lovie isn’t going to bring in a big ego guy to fill Alshon’s spot. That’s not his style. Although I wouldn’t have an issue with Chad or Plax.
Why couldn’t this happen when they played us on Monday night football smh
LOL @ Bring in one of Jim Harbaughs 5 #1 WRs. They (SF) dont even have ONE #1 caliber WR.
Plaxico would actually fit that offense well, but they won’t sign him since he’s obviously been blackballed by the NFL community.
Go jags.
If it’s only three weeks (including the bye) call up Joe Anderson from the practice squad. Chances are you’ll never use him anyway but give him a shot. That’s why we have the practice squad, right?
The Pack should send them Jadropus Finley. It might give us a chance the rest of the way.
If you have to have an injury, good timing. With bye, he’ll probably miss the Lions, the Panther and Titans. That’s five weeks. If Marshall, Forte, and Hester are ok, then Bennett can step in for a few weeks and hopefully the TEs can get a few more catches. .

Breaston is a possession receiver with speed who doesn’t return kicks with a very team friendly contract. Hester is a burner/kick returner. I don’t see the comparison?
Relax Bears fans.. The Bears dont play the Lions for two weeks so Ashlon will miss that game an by the time Chicago play Carolina the 4 weeks will have passed. Bennet will be ready for the Lions an Chicago will keep rolling… Bear down
Why not Richard Simmons…he’s in great shape and a WIDE receiver too !
Terriun Crump undrafted WR, Bears played him with some success in the Preseason, Plaxico is an option but I wouldnt panic Bears have depth at WR.
Alshon will be back by week 7, he can use this time as preparation.
The Bears are STILL a joke. Carimi looks awful, Jeffery is a slimmer, slow footed Mike “Fat” Williams with no breakaway speed, and Lovie Smith peaked years ago.
Continuity is great, but at some point, understand that you aren’t a great team under him and move on. What have the Bears done, since, um, 85???
Overrated organization, pompous fans, and a James Dean looking QB that will undoubtedly collapse mentally (or hold his knee in a playoff game) by seasons end.
Relax Bears fans.. Ashlon wont miss much at all.. It will be two weeks before the Lions game that Ashlon wont play in..by the time the Bears play the panthers that will be week 4

I was all set to refute your points one-by-one, until I remembered the old saying “Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level…” You have apparently already collapsed mentally, and would beat me with your experience.
Bring on Crump. Local kid done good…..

It was a joke based on Jim Harbaugh saying that they have 5 number 1′s.
@Larryboodry
The joke is on you because your the only fool that has missed the fact that Chicago is easily beating every team they play. an doing it on the road. Unlike the Packers who is losing games to rookie QB’s.
I know you are a packers fan because of the hate you have for the 4/1 Chicago Bears

????? You obviously have never read a single one of my posts, and I can’t imagine what you are replying to now…Unless you mistakenly are attributing my quote of dustinq’s post as my original post…And the three thumbs up you got are obviously from folks who never read my posts, either.
Go back and re-read some of my posts on the Bears, you’ll find that I am as big a die-hard as you are…Me, a Packers fan…LMFAO, dude!
