Rivers threw to Floyd on the right hash mark, Floyd jumped up to shield off the defender and catch it in his gut, and the defender pinned Floyd’s right arm to his side. Floyd had to try to catch it with only his left against his gut. The ball got knocked into the air, and the Saints had an easy pick.

That being said at least one major site acknowledged the issue or poor officiating in last nights game, which is a minor miracle these days unless the Packers are involved.

Its tough when it happens to any team but remember its only the end of the world when it happens to the Packers or Steelers.

Not the first game the o has put points on the board in the first half and early 3rd then suddenly disappear. Yea there was some bad calls for some big plays, but its not the refs fault we can’t score in the 4th.

I mean on the replay the wr’s arm was being pinned to his side by the cb and nothing, no call. The commentators actually DEFENDED the refs for not making the call. Had it been the replacements that missed it we’d have had to listen to 20 minutes of their indignation that these horrible people couldn’t get an obvious call correct. Then get on here and read 15 stories about how the replacements were D grade refs and called the wrong jersey number when they did make a call.

While Battle and Brown didn’t make any real obvious mistakes, you never know what may have happen on some of those plays if their best player had the ball. That Mathews TD would have been a 4 or 5 yd gain for Battle or Brown. Who knows which of the other short gains Mathews would have broke. His pass protection was excellent as well. San Diego deserved to loose.
