Uh, what? Eugene Wilson played in most of the Texans games at the beginning of the season. His season ended after week 11 or so due to a foot injury in no way related to the preseason incident.

It didn’t matter. If Vilma had said “I’ll give $10,000.00 to the player that predicts the minute Favre desperately tries to be the all-me all-now hero and throws the game losing pick,” the outcome would be the same.

I remember how excited the Viking fans were when they “took Favre from us.” At the time I forgot to mention one thing.

After Favre threw the pick (had to try to pass as our general at the time, Chilly, made a change to the play, causing 12 men in the huddle), but the Vikes held the saints.

The saints won in OT on a flurry of gawdaful lack of calls during the OT and during the game.

The 2009 Saints inflicted the fewest injuries on opposing players? That sounds like a ”Study” brought to us from the company that says there is no global warming.

BTW, Favre was not sacked a single time in the NFC Championship Game. This means that every hit he took came after he released the ball. My personal favorite hit was Darren Sharper’s spearing into Favre’s chin/right shoulder after taking two steps on a safety blitz. No call.

What a dumb comment. Favre played extremely well in that game apart from one bad pass. If it wasn’t for him, the Vikings wouldn’t have drove into field goal range to begin with, and the late interception wouldn’t have mattered. Adrian Petersen’s three lost fumbles cost them that game a lot more than Favre’s one interception.

Now the offensive pass interference call was iffy, but ultimately that and the holding call that followed, and the sack that preceded it, were negated when the Chargers got the automatic first down after the illegal hands to the face penalty.

One call in particular was when they called roughing the passer on… I don’t remember the player, where Brees threw an interception returned for a touchdown by the Chargers. The penalty instead gave the Saints 15 yards and a first down, where they subsequently scored a touchdown several plays later, effectively taking 7 points off the board for the Chargers and adding 7 of their own, not to mention the momentum shift. A 14 point swing that would have surely effected the outcome of that game. But that wasn’t the only horrid call. There were several others that were not called on the Saints including several holds.

He ought to be suspended for next season also. His arrogant preening around on the sidelines almost as an affront to this situation (not to mention his outright LYING all along) merits a suspension for 2013 ALSO.
