I’m not happy to hear that a player went down, even a dirty player like Cushing. For those Texan fans who are badmouthing the Jets, I hope it costs you the SuperBowl this year. But with San Fran, the Giants, and whoever else pops up, I somehow doubt you would win the Super Bowl, anyway.

What a real coward Slauson is, it takes a real coward to go after someones knees when they are not looking. He could have gone high since Cushing wasnt even looking in his direction. Hines Ward always blindsided people but he went high, going after someones knees is just a coward move.

I will try to tone down the emotion and vitriol in an effort to make sure my blog does not get deleted. This was the “hot sauce” the jets were talking about putting on Bush. It was a coached and contrived maneuver to injure a player on the team you are competing against. They need to come down on the perps here and their coaches hard…very hard. No matter what they do they will not miss an entire season. Until they start coming down on the coaches for coaching this stuff it will keep on happening.

Good thing the Jets don’t have a bounty system. Except for Rex Ryan talking openly about “dotting” key players to knock out of games. And Bart Scott talking about putting “hot sauce” on Reggie Bush, then the Jets actually injuring his knee. Then Ryan denying knowledge of the term, though Scott used it in ’06 and ’09, and even based his own brand of Hot Sauce on those comments.

Losing your play caller on defense is nearly the same as losing your QB on offense, this will drastically change their chances this year. Just look at that safety for the Jets a few years back, Brian Urlacher, these guys called the plays on D and once they went down their teams were never the same. GL in your recovery Cushman.
