Zone blocking is not dirty, but when guys seem to be diving into other guys’ knees like Slauson did last night, that’s a completely different story.

But aside from that, as a Bolt fan I liked watching him play. He is good closing the gap and drop back in the pass. A big blow to the Texans defense. Hopefully Dobbins steps up and fills those shoes correctly.

Man, are you a serious idiot. You’re obviously a frustrated fan of a pathetically bad team, so you decided to try to add insult to injury. The Texans do not do anything dirty with their blocking scheme and you know it. Trying to compare what the Texans do with that cheap shot that took Cushing out just demonstrates how a fan’s hatred for one team can completely cloud their judgment. Keep rooting for losers, loser.

I have long been of the opinion that if someone injures a player as a result of a dirty play, IOW a play that draws either a fine or a penalty, they should be suspended for however long the injured player is out. You end someone’s season on a dirty play? You just ended your own season. I guaran-gawd-damn-tee it if the NFL did that, you’d see a quick end to those kinds of plays.

It will be interesting to see what the league does. There is absolutely no way you can defend the block–it was clearly meant to injure. The league turned the other way when Rex told his players to injure Reggie Bush. Rex thinks the NFL is still like it was when his daddy coached–something needs to be done to stop this dirty coach/team.

It’s a shame to hear about Brian Cushing, he’s a high-energy player that is a ferocious leader on the field. If anyone can/will recover from an injury it’s this guy.

A true testament to the way Cushing plays the game is on YouTube. After a teammate of his intercepts a pass, Cushing goes running down field as the lead blocker and completely destroys a 300+ pound lineman then calls the guy a name most men would not appreciate being called…The two get in each others face and then somehow Cushing’s helmet comes off and even though it’s off, he still headbutts the guy.

Well congrats, mission accomplished. Is anyone surprised a Jet would do that? Me neither. As always, karma awaits the Jest and Matt Slauson in particular.
