The 49ers have been bad for almost a decade, but Jim Harbaugh has turned this ship around. Even if you don’t like his personality, a reasonable fan of the NFL has to give him credit for results. And this team is as dangerous right now as it’s ever been – the 49ers’ offense is poised for a breakthrough and just became the first in NFL history to pile up 300 yards passing AND 300 yards rushing in the same game.

The Giants have won 2 Superbowls in the last 5 years, and Eli owns Brady as badly as Brady used to own Peyton. They underachieve at times, but a reasonable fan outside of the NFC East has to admit that the Giants have been the best team in that division, and come playoffs one of the best teams in the NFL, for at least that long.

Both games last year were close, and this one should be close too. Hopefully the remaining fans of both teams who don’t yet have respect for the other will gain it, after a third installment of the contemporary renewal of one of professional sports’ most memorable and enjoyable rivalries.

Well the Giants have some very impressive victories under their belts this year. I can’t imagine why people might think the 49ers should win this game.

Yes, because the Jets and Bills are so much more impressive than the Bucs, Panthers, and Browns.

The Niners finally have a good team after 15 years, and the bandwagon is miraculously full of clowns again.

However with the Giants even last year people called them a lucky team, fluke, etc. This year it’s the same, worse Super Bowl winner in history is also used. The funny things is, even people in the area say this.

Add the fact that the 49ers have a great running game as usual, more playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, and an attacking defense to the Giants soft defensive play calling from Perry Fewell, injury riddled team at certain positions, and several under achievers and there you have it.

Giants wont even get past 10 pts.

everyone knows who should have won the NFC championship game. even the giants. look for a lot of hard hits from the niners. on both offense and defense.

i cant wait to see the worst team to ever win a superbowl get their teeth kicked in on sunday.

That’s where Harbaugh is a genius though. By signing Manninham, and Jacobs, we will be able to disect their offense that much more better and hopefully give us a leg up over them.

I understand payback and that’s a big motivation for SF. But the Giants play very well when their being discounted and when it come to this game they are being discounted. Also, the Giants are a very good road team so the normal homefield advantage is not what is assumed.
