Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham kicked the game-winning field goal on Sunday against the Eagles, and as a result he’s been named the AFC’s special teams player of the week.
Suisham went 3-for-3 on field goals, connecting once from 20 yards and twice from 34 yards, with the last field goal coming as time expired to win the game, 16-14. For the season, Suisham is now 8-for-8 on field goals.
This is Suisham’s second player of the week award; he won the NFC special teams player of the week while playing for the Redskins in Week Nine of the 2007 season, when he went 5-for-5 on field goals in a win over the Jets.
