Don’t care as long as Seattle keeps winning more than losing! If we get into the playoffs with a better record than last season then it’s good and Carroll is the man! Flynn wasn’t ready to go and Wilson was when we needed a starting QB so there you go! Flynn may be ready now, but he isn’t up to snuff yet and would require some full practices to get there? The only way I see Flynn getting in there is if Wilson was injured or started losing every game, which probably won’t happen anytime soon, if ever? We would be even better record wise if our receivers could catch the ball so that’s not on Wilson and even if Flynn was throwing, it doesn’t matter when the receivers drop the ball!

As for the story of Flynn hurt and now he’s not, it is another case of PC playing CYA. He never put Flynn on the injured list, and the NFL busted his chops for hiding the injury. Then PC has to come out and say that he really isn’t hurt, thereby showing anybody paying attention that he was lying to you in the first place, to keep his rookie starting and keep the wolves off. But you can always tell when PC is lying, his lips are moving.

Actually, get your facts straight. Pete the Cheat said the same thing, and here is his quote, right from this site,

“He has not been in a good situation,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told Silver regarding Jackson, who was installed as the starter even before he was able to practice with the team. “He’s been jerked around. We wanted to put him in a stable situation.”

I hate it when fans don’t know basic facts about their team….

People also need to stop bringing up the salary issue. Paul Allen isnt paying Matt Flynn millions for sitting on the bench. He is paying for wins. So no matter if the money is on the bench or on the field its gonna be paid regardless. Im sure he is enjoying getting what he paid for. Wins.

Pete stated on Boston radio that Flynn still suffered from the effects of tendonitis and he thought another week of rest was needed. Better to have Flynn at the end of the season for the playoffs than hurt him now. The concern of teams facing the ‘Hawks is a defense that is big and fast. Should be a good game.

I wasn’t shocked when Wilson became a starter in the NFL. However I was shocked how soon. confidence is a dangerous thing to mess with, pulling the kid this season could rattle his entire progression as an NFL QB.

If you start the season with Flynn you give the rookie the opportunity to learn and develop from the sideline without killing his confidence. It’s a dangerous slope if Matt Flynn is on Wilson’s tail this rest of the year.

The defence looks good …. It puts you in position to win and you are playing a rookie qb. I can see if Flynn played bad but heck he hasn’t even seen the field and really what has Wilson really done? Throw 2 ints on one drive for a td.

Pete Carroll is a moron. The only way he can create a winning team is to have an advantage. Like he did at USC. Recruiting violations and players being paid are the only way he can win at a college level. He has no advantage at the pro level thus he will always be an arrogant loser. That is until he gets fired in Seattle and goes back to some college program that is willing to take him and And he’s cheating. Of course they’d have to be willing to give up their integrity in the process. But there are plenty of those out there. Pretty much any team in the SEC.

The only people calling for Flynn are analysts that don’t really follow the Seahawks. Watch the games and you’ll understand that we are throwing the ball less than any team in the league. As the season goes I’m sure pass offense grows as Wilson develops and I think we watched that in the Panthers game. Flynn would probably do fine but the reality is our o-line isn’t healthy on the right side and Wilson can make the plays on the run when the protection breaks down. Run the ball, top tier defense and plays when you need to be that’s a formula.

Look at what he was paid and length of his contract. 2 year deal, we were drafting 25th and the other option was Kolb via trade. Give me a break with this talk with no substance.
