PFT Live: NFL outs the ‘snitch’

Mike Florio runs down the week’s biggest stories starting with the decision by the NFL to out Jimmy Kennedy as the initial whistleblower from the Saints bounty program. Florio reflects on the NFL’s history of dealing with “snitches” and ultimately says that there was no reason for the NFL to name names because “it doesn’t matter.” Florio also discusses Drew Brees’ support of former teammate Scott Fujita who said that Roger Goodell’s handling of the bounty suspensions have become detrimental to the integrity of the game, and wonders who is more at fault for the game-ending sack during the Chargers game: lineman Jared Gaither for not telling anyone he was injured, or San Diego’s staff for not realizing it before the ball was snapped.
