I would be looking for a way over the back fence if I was his dog. HE DOESN”T DESERVE a second chance when it comes to owning animals, he lost that chance at the end of a rope.

That being said, Michael Vick’s treatment of these dogs was heavily influenced by the culture that he was raised in. It is sad, but there is a large portion of the population that feels that animals do not deserve to be treated humanely.

As far as the accusation that he is only sorry because he was caught, how many people experience remorse for doing things that they get away with? Especially when he did not believe what he was doing was wrong. Isn’t the important part being sorry?

Vick has mentioned in multiple interviews how his experience humbled him. A fall from grace like that has a way of forcing humility. He has said that with his time in jail and his work with the Humane Society has helped him reach an epiphony. If this is the case then it is important for him to bring a dog into the home and teach his children how to care for and respect animals. Not only will it help change the culture and stop the cycle, but it should also help Vick attone for his sins. No amount of speeches or good deeds after the fact will erease what he has done, and I will never be a fan of Vick. But not even playing for the Eagles should mean you don’t deserve redemption.

Name calling? Why coming from a Vick defender is that not surprising.

Killing & intentional torture are completely different subjects. As previously requested, once you educate yourself on what people that torture helpless creatures to satisfy some sort of dark personal yearning are capable of we can resume an educated discussion. Until then you are giving me opinion as opposed to fact.

Why do Vick defenders bring in subjects that have no bearing on the matter at hand? Because there is no defense for torture of any creature for fun that’s why. Bottom line friend: although tragic, hungry people have no bearing on Mike Vicks sickness.

Yeah….I’m the one that is uneducated. Apparently kids starving to death in your own back yard doesn’t bother you. But you’re more “humane” than I because you care more about animals. I donate all my time and charity to helping sick and hungry kids and until that issue is solved I couldn’t care any less about dogs, cats, goldfish or idiots like you. You probably throw away more food than 5% of this country can afford to buy….but have a great weekend hunting deer and taking your dog for a walk.

He tortured for fun.

Cows & chickens are slaughtered for food. Next you’ll be saying how hunting is the same thing. Do hunters intentionally wound an animal & then inflict more & more pain on an animal as it screams & cries in pain as they double over in laughter? Did Vick eat what he killed?

The aspca kills dogs humanely, they do not torture them as they scream in pain & they all stand around & laugh.

The sickos are people that do not understand the difference between slaughtering for food & the difference between “putting an unwanted animal down” vs torturing for fun & entertainment.

Please tell us how it’s ok to torture, why that is alright. Give us a reasonable explanation for taking an animal that is suffering & making it feel even more pain for personal amusement is acceptable.

Do some actual reading & get educated on what people that torture intentionally & enjoy inflicting pain on defenseless animals are capable of instead of just spewing & ranting on subjects you are obviously uneducated in.

He killed some dogs.

People don’t do time for killing dogs. He pleaded guilty to “Conspiracy to Travel in Interstate Commerce in Aid of Unlawful Activities and to Sponsor a Dog in an Animal Fighting Venture”.

Our whole culture supports the killing of animals for our gain (cows, chickens, etc). Why are dogs so special?? I personally hate dogs, cats or any other filty animal living in my home. The SPCA kills thousands of dogs and cats every year – but keep donating your money to them though. It’s not like there are starving or sick kids in North America or anything. Those cats and dogs need our money more!! The sicko’s in this world are the people that care more about animals than people.

As for the Vick supporters that want to bring “hate, forgiveness & skin color” into it, I have a question:

If Mike Vick wasn’t a professional athlete & was just some fool hanging around your neighborhood that was known for torturing animals & some of the violent behavior he’s exhibited for kicks, would you still be sticking up for him as you do?

People that advocate for animals don’t just have outrage for Mike Vick, we have the same feeling for anyone that hurts, abuses or tortures animals. Animal advocates protest many avenues of animal cruelty, not just Mikey. Vick supporters don’t advocate for people that have committed violent crimes & stick up for them, just for Mike Vick.

Get the difference?? Animal advocates would be there no matter who it is, if Vick wasn’t a professional athlete & played for “their” team the people that stick up for Vick wouldn’t care.

He’s allowed to own a dog just like everyone else, and MV is not stupid enough to not take good care of his new dog.

So who cares?
