DeMarco Murray, Felix Jones hurt, but Cowboys keep on running

The Cowboys have been running the ball very well against the Ravens on Sunday and all the activity has left two of their backs on the sidelines with injuries.

Running back DeMarco Murray hurt his foot in the first half, an injury that’s being called a sprain. He’s been on the sideline in the second half in uniform and helmet, but he hasn’t been used at all after running 14 times for 93 yards in the first half.

When Murray went down, Felix Jones came into the game and reeled off 83 more yards on 15 carries of his own. But Jones is now on the bench along with Murray because of cramps that knocked him out of the game in the fourth quarter.

On a day when your running game is clicking, you obviously don’t want to lose your two top backs. The Cowboys have coped fairly well, though. Phillip Tanner and Lance Dunbar have run for 36 yards on nine carries, some of which set up a field goal that cut the Ravens lead to 24-23 with 8:26 left in the game.
