In my lifetime, Raiders and Chargers are both 0-1 in Superbowls.

But my Chargers lost a superbowl to a 49ers team with countless hall of famers. Your Raiders lost to a Buccaneers team with nobody on it.

Meanwhile, my Chargers are in first place and leading the Broncos 10-0 with the ball. I wonder when/if the Raiders will ever have a winning record again?

Mark my words…Raiders will finish the season 10-6 and surge into the playoffs. They might have lost today but that lost just sparked a fire under them. Expect the Raiders to absolutely pulverize the Jaguars.

I would be shocked if they didn’t beat the jags, 10-6 is bold. That means you have them wonning 9 of their next 11 games, yeah right.

I knew the Raiders would give them a game, coming off a bye and hearing all week about how they didn’t stand a chance. That was a gutsy effort by them.

Glad to see you guys believe in moral victories out there. I guess eventually you had to buy into the theory that actual wins on the scoreboard weren’t very important, otherwise you would have given up hope long ago.

The Raiders out gained them, out played them, and Palmer and playcalling gave it away. They were in game winning field goal distance with 3 minutes to go and 3rd and 6 when Palmer (who had an otherwise very good game) threw a very bad pass for the pick 6. Our D knocked the ice off Matty and Denarius Moore is an outright treat to watch. I’d appreciate watching him if he were on any team.

But unless you watched the game, which the comments above tell me, most of you haters never did, you get this kind of lame write-up to go by.

The reason the Falcons won was these bias refs calling penalties on number 71 which the Raiders don’t have a number 71, and number 49 which they don’t have a number 49 that, and 12 penalties to the Falcons 2 penalties the Raiders got jobbed all day.

That’s weak. Charger fans cried about the refs last week because they lost to the Saints. It was embarrassing when they did it, and it’s the same when you do it. The only flag that pissed me off was the one where Ryan got his helmet grazed when the rusher reached out while getting held up by the blocker, and the only reason that pissed me off was because it’s a sissy rule.

Go look at the AFL Championship wiki. Chargers had a championship way before your team ever had a winning record. But I don’t look to the past and pretend that championships from several decades ago mean anything. You want to talk about accomplishments? How about you guys just focus on finishing with a winning record sometime.

Sorry. Didn’t realize you were talking about minor league history. I think the Raiders even have one of those AFL championships. I’m sure there is a WFL or USFL trophy that someone polishes once in awhile, but they know it’s not the same thing. I don’t spend much time bragging about the past, either, but I do understand it’s a lot easier to mock history when you don’t have any, and I do realize that after 46 years of futility, one must take their victories where they can find them, no matter how small. The OC might change, but the head coach will be the same next year. Management doesn’t expect Allen to take his team to the playoffs this year. In that respect, he’s a lot like Norval Turner.

I am older than the Raiders, and don’t remember when the Chargers were great. But I am a big believer in math, and my math tells me the Raiders are bad, the Chiefs are worse, and the Chargers and Broncos are hovering around mediocre. Charger fans are odd. They don’t care if their team is good. They’re just happy if their team is better than the Raiders. It seems like such a modest goal.

The Carson Palmer trade and years of questionable drafts by Al Davis put this team in a deep deep hole.

Did they even have a draft pick this year before, what, the 4th round?!
