Niners were actually the "fluke" last year just check out how soft there schedule was.....but enough about them.

Giant fans here's what gets me fired up moving forward.

1. Giants get 2 of our best DT's back next week Canty/Bernard

2. Hosley and Prince look to be very solid young corners and getting better each week. This allows Rolle to play FS and you saw it pay off yesterday with 2 picks

3. O-line is coming together and run game clicking 2 weeks in a row. Bradsahw/Wilson/ Brown has us loaded at RB

4. Giants are loaded at WR

5. D-line back on track with 6 sacks and just getting started

Super Bowl Champs and getting better every week...........I'm fired up!

Good game by the Gmen!!!

Good to stay with the running game even when it seemed it wasn't going to happen yesterday. The passing game, well, what else can we say, I guess, it will always be there as long as you have Eli and his talented WRs.

And yes, there were definitely points left out on the field, but the D was stingy enough to not let the 9ers get back in it.

But what is all this trash talking, it's a mid Oct. game, and yes, one win does count a lot in the NFL, I'm sure everyone knows, "Any Given Sunday."

I did think it was going to be a good game, not much of a blood bath as some (mostly 9ers fans) predicted. But come on now, all of this, "we'll see you in January" back and forth is really non-sense.

And there's some violent-laden comments in here as well. Wow, dude, calm down, it's a football game, chillax!!!

@spicoli how in the world does a loss yesterday in any way relate to niner teams of 25-30 years ago...or for that matter the fans. Pretty sure as a fan I am not clueless, I have probably forgot more football than you ever knew. I give your team full credit, have even pulled for them the last two Super Bowls they won. Good football is good football, your team played that yesterday. To invoke Montana and young and to try and denegrate them sounds like sour grapes from your past. That was their time this is your teams time. I am a fan of the game and recognize greatness when I see it. My niners had it then your team, especially Eli has it now. Don't bring up things together that should be separated to grind your axe.

9er fan is the worst, most sports-clueless, classless fan in the NFL.

Not all of them, but easily 80%. This is my opinion formed over 40 years of watching them. i'm 48. When I was a kid, they were the lovable losers, and there was no angst between Raider and Niner fans. The problems started when they happened upon success and became the first team to have back to back HOF QB's. They could not handle the success and took to shouting everyone down by saying "Greatest of All-Time" and "5 Superbowls". I guess it's just human nature for them to fat drunk and happy, but it attracted nothing but spoiled fans of winning, and they became so classless that the Raider fans focused hate on them, after being verbally assaulted by braindead fans over them winning and us losing. When in the past we had pretty much ignored them and given any real fan respect, like a fan with class does.

Try to talk football, like reality based football, with one of these fringe fans. It's like talking to a 10 year old.

Congrats giants...first and foremost let me say the biggest difference in these two teams is Eli is a stud. That is why they won in January and that is why they won today. Some great throws into tight spots and the receivers made some great snags as well. As a niner fan, today was very frustrating. The giants taught them a lesson. But let's not get crazy, this is the same niner team that played them tough twice last year. I am not happy with there play but the roster is pretty talented and as the giants proved twice in five years its how you play in January and beyond that really matter. I am a bit disillusioned with the niners play...d not quite as edgy and the o although better is still limited. However, lets not get carried away, giants you guys played great but long way to go....lets see how it plays out.

if nobody has done it yet, i’d like to nominate a game ball to perry fewell the GMENs defensive coordinator. he had the 49er offense reald like an open book. Rolle said it best, it was like he knew what alexS was doing at all times. he also pushed whatever buttons needed to be pressed to get the Dline awake, and it looks like Prince is getting his feet under him at last in the NFL. if he lives up to his first round status then him, webster, rolle are a really good CB/Safety package.

between the GMEN beating SF and the packers whooping on the texans the old guard in the NFC looks like it’s on the rise once again.
----------------

Doesn't Fewell always call all-world games out of left field in big games?

Just hope he doesn't go back to dropping acid against the Skins, who, despite having the electric rookie, are inferior.

The giants played great, good win fellas. Am I missing something though, are both teams 4-2? I didn’t know this loss hurt more then any other. We will see the g men in the playoffs, where I am sure we will have a different outcome..
--------------------------------------------------------
Oh sure. Now all of a sudden "Ho hum...just another loss. Nothing to see here." But all week it was "Revenge. Payback. The Giants didn't win the last game, we lost."

Guess what? You lost again. Pacify yourselves any way you can.

You guys are too funny. Lose a game and you’re “mediocre”. The 49ers will have football in January. See you there.

***********************************

the 9ers aren't even first in their division. i'd worry about at least PLAYING a division game before planning on january football. as of right now they wouldn't even qualify for the playoffs. i'm thinking they have to get by seattle first. (who by the way has the number 1 defense in the league.)

and by the way, they ARE mediocre. 4 wins against teams with losing records and 2 losses to teams with winning records, pretty much makes you mediocre.

jus' sayin'.

Here we go?? One game Alex plays bad in 2 years.. Now you all want to run your mouths.. I’ll smack all you people.. Straight up we will come back harder I guarantee it!! Got beat by a team that played better.. Not a better team! All you little Blues running your mouths will be shut up come February! GO NINERS!!!

The scoreboard and non-dusty Super Bowl rings suggest that the Giants are the better team. Get over your delusion and just accept your team got waxed when you were one of the imbeciles gloating around with baseless conjecture about the 49ers blowing out the Giants.

As if anyone ever does it (excluding many teams in the Cheaterdome).
