Greg Zuerlein finally misses a kick

Legatron is human.

Rams rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein finally missed a field goal, missing a 52-yarder wide left in the second quarter.

He was a perfect 15-of-15 prior to the miss. According to the NFL, that’s one short of the record streak to begin a career, set by Garrett Hartley.

The Dolphins immediately made him pay for his mortality, by driving for a Marlon Moore touchdown reception and a 7-6 lead.

Rams down 4 at half and Legatron has missed 2 field goals. This is why the value of a kicker cannot be overstated.

Evidently, an enormous component to kicking – at any level – is where your head’s at. Young G.Z.’s head may not be where he needs it to be right now.
