Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb exited Sunday’s overtime loss to the Bills with an injury. Which gave Week One starter John Skelton a chance to reclaim his job.

Skelton failed.

He completed only two of 10 passes for 45 yards, and an interception in overtime that gave Buffalo the ball deep in Arizona territory. The Bills converted the turnover into a game-winning field goal.

The team tells PFT that Kolb is being evaluated for a rib/chest injury. A league source tells PFT that it’s a rib injury. Based on Sketon’s performance on Sunday, the Cardinals need Kolb.

Time will tell whether they get him.
