Getty ImagesThe backup to the backup is now on the field for the Packers.
Inside linebacker D.J. Smith left the game with a right knee injury and is doubtful to return.
He was replacing Desmond Bishop, who was lost for the year to a hamstring injury before the start of the regular season.
That had the Packers down to Brad Jones in the middle. Most of the former seventh-rounder’s experience is on the outside.
The good news is, Aaron Rodgers has staked them to a 21-10 halftime lead.
UPDATE 10:17 p.m. ET: Neither Smith nor Nick Perry, who left earlier with a knee injury, will return.

Houston Texans, cut blocks, LOL….
That last penalty just cost the Texans the game.
The texans can no longer complain about the hit that knocked Cushing out. That was no different and not necessary.
I wish they were running short of ol’ butter fingers Finley.
Texans need to manage the clock like a two-minute drill from here on out.
The Packers should just play with 10 on defense the rest of the way. Where’s all the Packer haters now? Bedtime already?
When this game was close, the officials more than made up for the Packers game at Seattle. Hopefully we have heard the last of packer fans crying about the officiating.
thejuddstir, what call are you talking about? There’s been nothing bad.
“When this game was close”… lol…

You have to be the single dumbest football fan in history. Was there some questionable calls? Yes but both ways. The PI call on Shields that gave you guys a TD was non-existent. Can you say with a straight face that those calls changed the overall outcome of the game? Ofcourse not the Texans were out classes from bell to bell.
Texans ain’t real…. go beat on the jags and brag, lol
