RG3 recovers from slow start, puts Skins up at half

After an early interception, Robert Griffin III has the Redskins back on track, and leading the Vikings 17-9 at halftime.

Griffin led the Redskins on an 11-play, 90-yard drive which was capped by an Alfred Morris touchdown run. Then after a Lorenzo Alexander interception gave him the ball back at the Vikings’ 6-yard line, Griffin hit Darrel Young for a touchdown pass on the next play to reverse the Vikings’ early momentum.

RG3 is 11-of-14 passing for 116 yards, and has taken a few hard hits over the course of the game. He can also act, as he gave it the full Vlade Divac treatment when pushed by Erin Henderson, buying a roughing the passer penalty.

The turnover by Alexander was ruled fumble recovery, not an interception

RG3 is putting the team on his back. Dude is shredding an excellent defense right now.

Good thing I didn’t bench him for Matt Ryan

Funny how good a team can become once they actually have a QB… RG3 is, without question, the best rookie QB (with Luck firmly in 2nd place)… So, can we please stop the “Akili Smith 2.0” and “RGLeaf” and “he’s a bust” talk already??? What does the kid have to do to earn your damn respect?!! At this point, you just sound like a complete IDIOT and emphatic HATER if you write that sh1t… This kid is one of the best QB’s in the league and he’s a damn rookie! Unreal

Every time Ponder gets chased out of the pocket his little legs are pumping up and down real fast but he doesn’t seem to go anywhere. He looks like he is trying to crush grapes as quickly as possible.

Congrats Skins. Vikings are the better team but you played better today.

But… but.. everyone said that Jared Allen was going to welcome Griffin to the NFL, but he never did. I love Allen, but that just seems really rude of him.

Sorry thepvyharvin….Vikings are NOT the better team…waaaayyyy overrated. Stop AP and they have NOTHING that scares anyone.

RG3 just might be the best player in the league. As for the Vikings, overrated. I got tired of hearing how they were going to crush the Skins..LOL..they got smoked,

I’ve noticed that Vikes Offensive Coordinator Musgrave likes to bench Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin quite a bit whenever the Vikings are in the red zone. He’s such a genius: No wonder Adrian’s not scoring any TDs for his Fantasy owners!
